It’s hard to know for sure, since car sales statistics - at least, the ones you can find online - tend not to differentiate between estates, saloons and hatches - so, for example, you can see how many 3-series have been sold, but not how many had long-roofs - but I’d wager that it’s either BMW, Audi, or maybe Skoda…

Really? Weird—they must not sell that 1.6 here in the UK. The base is still a NA petrol 1.6, but it’s rated for 105 PS/103 HP. The lowest-power engine I could find was the 95 PS diesel.

It's even better than that: you can get the Focus with a 93HP diesel in Europe.

Yeah, good shout. The least powerful engine you can get in a Focus has around 93 BHP, so the delta between that and the RS is pretty huge.
