It isn’t, ‘the British method’. ‘The Her Majesty’s Ship Daring’ doesn’t make sense in American English, either. Neither does, ‘British Broadcasting Corporation killed it when they fired Clarkson.’, with no prefix. Like I said, it’s a ridiculous nitpick, but it’s nothing to do with British English versus the American

The British nuclear arsenal doesn’t require direct governmental authorisation to launch. The thinking is that, as the entire UK chain of command could in theory be wiped out in a first strike, with basically no warning, there wouldn’t be much point in having nukes if the Prime Minister actually had to input a code to

I’m looking forward to it. I mean, it’ll probably take a while for them to find their feet, but it’s pretty rare that a’new’ motoring show from a broadcaster with decent pedigree comes along. I miss old Top Gear, but there's that Amazon show to look forward to, and besides, it had been getting pretty tired for the

Really, Clarkson killed it when he punched that bloke. I mean, you can argue that the BBC should’ve let it slide ‘cause of his popularity but, well, that’d hardly be fair. When you punch a coworker, while already on notice about your behaviour at work, you shouldn’t really expect latitude. At least, that's how I see

They both - the sport and the classic - have the rotating bezel—it’s just more obvious on the classic.

Actually, nah. It received quite a few fairly positive reviews/impressions pieces - including one from Giz - when it was released. It’s not perfect, of course, but then, no wearable is yet.

It’s probably worth noting that the Moto X 2nd gen they’ve decided to stop supporting is the carrier version; the old Pure Edition is still on the update list. Still shitty, but an important distinction considering that the Pure/Style is unlocked and carrier-free by default.

I’m seriously considering one of these for my next phone. I think the Nexus 6P would probably be better, overall, but the price difference between the two where I live - with my student discount on the Moto factored in, along with the fact that I’d be able to make do with the 32GB version thanks to the SD slot,

How about a Moto X Style/Pure? You get that lightweight, stock Android UI, with the benefit of micro-SD expansion. Ideally, I’d get a 64GB 6P for my next phone - replacing an old Nexus 5 - but the price difference between it and the 32GB Moto X Style - which, thanks to the SD slot, I’ll still be able to fit my whole

I still kinda can’t stand this laptop for more-or-less permanently killing the possibility of Apple ever making a MacBook Air with a decent screen.

Nope. There’s a reference to the ‘Clone Wars’, when Obi-Wan’s talking to Luke about his father, but no mention is ever made of the Stormtroopers being clones, and it’s established in Star Wars: Rebels - which is completely canonical - that the Stormtroopers are recruited/conscripted. There’s a couple of episodes based

It’s not quite ‘unchanged’.

T-70, in fact. Keep in mind that it’s been thirty years since RotJ, in-universe and out. The new design has most of the classic X-wing elements, but everything, from the nose to the engine intakes, is different. (It’s actually quite a bit closer to the old concept art than the classic design.)

The S-foils don’t split right along the middle anymore—notice how the top set’s slightly behind the bottom set in the picture? This shot of one of the toys might help:

It’s more that there’s a limited licence available for people who take their test in an automatic. The ordinary licence is the manual one.

Intriguing. I’m only twenty, and I can’t think of a single person in my peer group who picked up an automatic as their first car—or, indeed, any of their subsequent cars. Which bit of the country are you in?

Spent 20 years here, never met anyone who doesn’t know how to drive manual - excluding people without licences, obviously - and have only been in one automatic car. Anecdotes are funny that way.

Well, considering that the overwhelming reaction to the first trailer, and pretty much everything they’ve put out since, was something to the effect of, ‘Man, this would make a FANTASTIC movie!’, I’d say they’re off to a good start.

Man, that Overwatch victory theme has to be one of my all-time favourite pieces of video game music, and I love a lot of video game music. The main bit - the bit you hear over ‘Play of the Game’ - is like the best of the Pacific Rim and Avengers themes combined.

That’s a funny way to spell, ‘Jennifer Hale’.
