I clicked on the thing on the ticker without looking because *drools*

It’s a fairly unfortunate complication resulting from the fact that ‘Mini’ was originally the name of a car rather than a marque.

When I read the headline, I - misremembering that the Alraigo was a cargo ship, rather than a tanker - was reminded of this tale of a rather different sort of fighter being saved by a rather different sort of ‘tanker’:

The two I can think of off the top of my head are the DS3 and the A1.

So, the Model S isn’t a car, then?

Not even the fact that you can get an Octavia VRS - as in, the hot one - for just £2000 more than a base V60? I won’t bother doing the whole currency conversion thing because it’s pretty much always a false equivalency, but suffice to say you get a lot more - at least in terms of fun - for your money with the Skoda

Oh, I know; I’m British. I wasn’t comparing them based on size so much as body-style - they can all be had as estates - and their relative desirability, at least to my taste. It was more of a, ‘I’d buy this instead of this’ than, ‘These are direct competitors and I find this example more desirable because...’

I would say, ‘I’ll take ours instead’, but in truth, I think they’re both boring beyond words. (I do enjoy the unvarnished wood in the cabin, though. You really don’t see enough of that.)

I’m pretty sure it’s determined by how much Armco has to be replaced.

I’m not American, so I’ll simply tender my usual response to anything with that badge that wasn’t originally something else: Bleh, Vauxhall(Opel), bleh.

It’s even more obvious with grey cladding.

My favourite of the series. It’s incredibly annoying that all the footage of the Battle at Balun has been pulled off YouTube by copyright claims.

I keep several Yamato .gifs on standby for occasions such as this. I would post the lot of them - they actually tell a story, taken together - but I worry that Kinja would simply explode.

The path forward is clear.

Yeah, going all ‘Muricah for an RS - or ST - Ford just doesn’t really work for me. I mean, they’ve been around since the sixties, and yet this is - I believe - the first to even be sold in America.

Yup. I feel like either of these concepts would work really well, and fit in quite neatly with the rest of VW’s lineup, design-wise—the Up!, in particular.

The New Stratos. Be still, my beating heart.

I’m pretty sure every GTA since Vice City has had this mod in one form or another. It’s a wonderful thing.
