I'm pretty sure there's going to be a port of one of them, and also a brand new one

gotta say, while this is kinda fun... It's lazy too. I mean, at least have mario turning around the corners if your not gonna have him do a hop to start building up a boost! :P
quite
It's all good. I'm glad we were able to solve that rationally ^_^ I completely agree with what you were trying to say, by the way :D
oh. OK. That makes a lot more sense. I was saying from a perspective of what Nintendo does, there's not really a precedent for a new system already :P
no, your point about "past trends" I agree about the whole buying the new console thing. I'm saying there's not really a precedent
they did
I'm no expert, but you already have to hold the 3DS about a foot away from your face to get the 3D effect well. An larger screen would make that distance even FARTHER. I really doubt Nintendo's going to release an XL, especially any time soon...
that's... a really good point, actually. A 3DS with a second analog stick would basically be a brand new system, and they'd have to develop at least separate controls for every single game that uses the touchscreen as a second stick
what "track record"? Besides the DSi to DSiXL iteration, no Nintendo handhelds have had less than almost 2 years between iterations
It's not selling PSPGo numbers. It's not even selling the same (or less than) the DS when IT first came out. It's selling fine, Nintendo just initially expected more people to buy it. People didn't, so Nintendo dropped the price, and now more people are. :P
honestly, I've never had trouble with the battery. I've gone a good 16 or 17 hours without charging my 3DS, about 10 in sleep mode, 3 with 3D, and 4 without 3D (or at least with less than full), and my battery went down to about 1/2 charge...
honestly, I don't understand all this fuss about the so-called "terrible battery life" I've played my 3DS for a good 6 or 7 hours (with about 10 hours of being left in sleep mode with the wifi on), with about 3 of that in 3D without charging it, and my battery went down to half charge. That was it. Maybe it's because…
the only precedent for this was the DSi to DSiXL, and they were marketing the XL at a different crowd than the DSi and Lite. Your point?
I doubt they would, since A) The 3DS is selling better now that the price drop happened, and B) Besides the DSi to DSiXL, all Nintendo handheld iterations have taken almost 2 years between them :P
the touch screen has often been used as a second analog stick in DS games, I don't see why they'd stop in 3DS games
what I don't understand about why people swear to god that Nintendo is going to release a new 3DS is that there's no precedent for it. Besides the DSi to DSiXL, all the nintendo handhelds have had almost 2 years (sometimes more) between upgrades. And the only reason for the DSi to XL "upgrade" was because they were…
but that placement would suck. I bet if there was a detachable thumbstick that could go on the screen, people would start complaining about the fact that they have to reach too far for it to be comfortable. I know I would, and I have relatively big hands :P
but it's not over yet!
If it exists, I would hate to have that job :P
