Please don't let your upbringing discourage you. I had a rough childhood and my mom wasn't the greatest. I took all that and made my kids full of love. My house may not be clean and we may not practice our ABCs often enough but we have fun and we have love.

I think half of them look like an adult woman dressing like a Disney Princess. Belle is especially scary/hookerish.

A jaunt down the Disney aisle at Target (or the Disney store) would blow your mind if you had the original princesses in your head. They've given all the princesses this weird makeover with larger eyes and more makeup. Belle is practically unrecognizable!!
