This. I don't actually watched Switched at Birth, but ABC Family actually has some seriously quality programming wrt diversity. The Fosters, especially, has some incredible things going with sexual orientation and race. Even Pretty Little Liars has some good moments.

I AM WATCHING. I am conflicted tbh. The first episode left me kind of meh re: how desperate they obviously were to not make Tank a "bad guy" but I think last night's episode went a long way towards really dealing with the nuances of "good guys can do bad things" etc etc. The only thing I thought was unrealistic was

IF YOU ARE NOT WATCHING THIS SHOW YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Seriously, it is just THE BEST SHOW and Gina is a delight. Even as I type this I have a huge fucking grin on my face because the show is just soooooo good. It's light, sweet, heartwarming fun that is also very feminist and enjoyable. And it's hilarious and

I'm straight, but with an infertility diagnosis, I have had the same thoughts: my body doesn't work the way it's supposed to, but it's still REALLY good at the menstruating part. I don't get the parts that I want to work, but the worst aspect works without fail. Every. Single. Month.

The part about her period being useless because she's a lesbian echoes my thoughts exactly. Like, it's so fucking pointless for me to have a period, it's not even funny. I almost feel like it shouldn't even pertain to me.

Did you guys see this

I'm starting to think Bill Cosby is kind of a jerk

"As a palate cleanser for the last two weeks, please enjoy some stories of terrible customers receiving their just rewards."

A SNNNNNNNNAKE!
