The Last of Us Part 2 comes out on May 29th - and this game comes out... 28 Days Later!

What’s even sadder is the number of fans who think Smash, or any game, is worthy of its creator doing this to themselves, and even aren’t happy with the amount of work he’s putting in. He is both the victim and the perpetrator of an unhealthy work environment, and his fans are enabling him. This is not OK.

He should absolutely as fuck not worry about that right now. The guy has serious issues with overworking and needs to take a fucking break. Or, since he comes across as if he’d sooner gnaw his own fingers off than take a break, he needs someone who cares about him to conk him on the back of the head, stuff him into a

Protein simulation is one of the most computationally intensive branches in the field, one of those things where there’s more possible solutions than there are atoms in the universe and all that. Also the best known algorithms are still vulnerable to things most search algorithms are, such as local maximums.

Not the same. F@H tries to brute force the answer, FoldIt has people trying to figure out the answer.

That wasn’t the point. I’m sure they would have considered AI upscaling regardless, but no matter what you’re aiming for clearly you want to start with the best possible quality material. The AI upscale might have looked twice as good had they had the original video to upscale from.

Origin in particular is bound to have days of footage waiting to be recovered, just decaying in a warehouse somewhere. If there’s one old company begging to have their FMVs remastered, surely it’s them?

LW1 got a really good reply, though to be fair good replies are easier when a situation is as clear-cut as that. I also appreciate how the good Doctor passed on commenting on LW1's certain thoughts and opinions that are certainly worth reexamining in the long term but wouldn’t help with the situation at all in the

Wherever I see this reported, a bunch of people in the comments are always confusing it with Folding@Home.

There’s more than one way to skin a cat.

Was the message in-character? You don’t need to act to say ‘hi kid it’s Adam, hope you have a happy birthday’.

I was a PC gamer, and not much into consoles at the time - but I still clearly recall how the PS2 completely took over TV gaming, especially here in Europe where the competition was basically nonexistent. You pretty much played on PC or on the PS2, there were no other options. Fortunately both platforms had superb

Vimeo is an excellent platform, it’s just oriented more towards real short form and long form video production instead of amateur work like YouTube is - and of course due to the network effect the traffic isn’t as high.

Don’t be so mean to yourself Zach. You probably have some positive qualities too, you just need to dig deep and try to find them 👍.

Unfortunately there’s simply no real high-quality option available - aside from using original NES gamepads, which the Analogue NT fully supports but they can’t sell those as a pack-in.

It doesn’t, unfortunately. A dumb choice on SE’s part.

What all the others said. Not only is there no need to start from the beginning (in fact you shouldn’t) but you can also skip entries and miss nothing. Any Final Fantasy can be your first one, and you can go back to older ones afterwards.

I’ve no doubt that RE2 fans complained about missing content, but it’s worth mentioning just for accuracy’s sake that even with the cuts the Remake is objectively a more lengthy game than the original, across all styles of play:

God knows Stadia is bursting with games, they really don’t need any more. In fact I predict in the near future there will be a significant reduction in the number of games that will be playable on Stadia.

I haven’t seen a single second of gameplay, or anything that might resemble gameplay, anywhere in there.
