The PSP could have been greater than it was, but it did mediocre for the same reasons that Vita is failing. Overpriced memory, games that try so hard to be console games that they fail as portable games, and a lack of support from their own parents. Both are great pieces of hardware with no gas in the tanks.

I've never backed anything on Kickstarter for this very reason. Shovel Knight is the only game from Kickstarter that seemed to go smoothly and deliver what it stated. I've considered backing Heart Forth Alicia, but I never could get myself to. If it comes out and is indeed any good, I'll purchase it. If it never came

As a U.S. citizen, I can attest to the rarity and scalper problem, and most vendors of foreign versions to us tend to price them as scalpers (I.E. , 28-80 bucks).

Or my personal fav...

Can't wait to never see one and then be asked 80 bucks for the pleasure.

Well, that’s a relief. Sadly, I had the original PC version after I sold my PSX in the early 2000’s- It was the stuff of nightmares. I never got the Steam release because I have the original from PSN now, but I’m glad to know they didn’t just rerelease that shit show.

I’m guessing the music is based upon the PSX original? The PC version used native MIDI generators that reset after every change (as in after every battle, the map music started from the beginning again- so you’d never hear the 3+ minute music unless you sat idle on the map. Made grinding infuriating) and was far

You ever try to emulate N64 games? There’s like 2 that run correctly, and even those are full of missing textures and crash at random. That, and it’s difficult to apply any other controller to most of their games that used the N64 controller optimally. They’re a victim of their own unique console functions and control

Not at all. I used to actually reset and swap characters out in CT and FFVI out of sheer curiosity.

I think you’re a poor representative of FF or JRPG fandom if your voice distinctly proclaims that you liked the characters and stories yet basically hated the play style. For every one of you, there are probably ten others who enjoyed the story and characters as well as the battle system and stat growth, among myriad

Kotaku, you make good money off advertisements. Get rid of these fucking ads that halt the page scroll and auto click the second you put your finger on them to continue scrolling. That's a cheap technique for a webpage that even claims to take itself seriously.

YAAAAAAAY!!!

Beliefs aside....

Even though I do love the Smash Amiibo line (scored most at cost before the scalper explosion, now I wait until the few I don’t have go for under 20 with shipping), I have to agree that the Mario micro dioramas are choice.

Then may I suggest the Gunner Special, featuring your choice of a dragon head or king turkey with your choice of side ranging from a fatty tomato garni to a king truffle casserole with rapscallion reduction. I'd offer you a blessed wine or goldenfish brew to wash it all down, but you may end up with Unlucky Cat.

I was thinking topping it off with some hairy tuna and heaven bread would be a good idea- just so I can have felyne weakener or defender before my next battle.

Looks like it would have quite a layer of fat under that hide, and the vibrant colors on the underbelly just scream of blood flow and nutrients. Given its rather lazy approach to life when not hunting, you know that badboy is tender as hell. Plus, it has a large and varied diet.

It makes me smoke like an 80’s Volkswagen. Pity is that my wifi reach ends exactly outside of my door, so I only play 3 battles with any team before I dunk out. Oh, habits!

What a way to relieve stress, though- slowly beating an animal to death while wearing its family members’ remains. My only regret is that I'll never be able to taste the creatures I've slain. Nibelsnarf sounds like it would taste like filet mignon slathered in marshmallow.

Shit- I missed that bus, ha ha. I always brought out the kid in people. If anybody was too macho or cool to converse with me, I would stop talking to them.
