Not at all. I, like many including the poster, just felt compelled to include my view and experience in my post. However, I still stand that when numbers and broad consensus speak, the system is considered a failure. It’s not as though I bought one hoping anything other than it would thrive and deliver long lasting

Understood. Thanks for not taking it as a jab.

I’m sorry- I don’t understand this strange language you speak. Is it a twisted dialect of fanboi?

Not insulting you- it’s great that you’re enjoying it more than your 3DS, but that makes you a vast minority. I enjoyed my NES more than I can enjoy a PS4, but that doesn’t make that a meaningful detail, nor does it make it relevant to the state of video game consumers as a whole.

You as well.

Jeezus, man- can you not read that much? I’m guessing you’re 18 or younger, ha ha. That’s not a lot to read. You’re not on Facebook or Twitter here- it’s a discussion board. It takes more than 15 seconds to read shit here.

The sad part- one of my ex’s fathers got an early VHS-DVD recorder in like 2003 or 2004, so I recorded that tape, as well as FF 8 and 9 tapes and a random misc one of PS1 and N64 stuff. Since the tapes were degrading, I tossed them.

You’re just worrying about that now? Most people started last year, ha ha. I’m sincerely holding on to mine for Zelda. My 3DS has a robust enough library, so I don’t feel compelled to play afterthoughts.

Nah- just pretty as hell.

So you're nothing more than a meme regurgitator. I understand. Bravo.

They'll have to leave them in, however I can see them making the cross dressing moment et al a bit more serious and espionage, as opposed to the very goofy anime tone the original had.

My initial thought. I had a VHS that I recorded every FMV onto in 1998. I absolutely included this for some reason, as well as the squat competition for the Beautiful Bro’s wig.

Apparently. Nintendo is like a short distance runner. Man, they blew out the gate and blew everybody away. Now they're burnt for the rest of the day and likely won't impress us until the next race.

I love this reply. All is translates to is, “I read it. I have nothing to say. I want desperately to be witty and leave a comment so I can feel relevant. Help me not feel useless, OP.”

I think that looking at a classic and beloved game as “outdated” is kind of a sin. There is nothing about FFVII’s gameplay or system that is incomplete- rather, it simply doesn’t fit Square’s current trend, and they’re scared it might hurt sales.

I’m with you there. I wait on N’s E3 news like a child on Christmas Eve, and nothing here struck me at all.

8 was a brutal letdown. I felt like I was treading water. Impossible weapon upgrades, horrible leveling system, horrible money system, and inability to even use magic because it was junctioned to every one of your stats. The battles were poorly paced and sluggish, and using a GF summon was instant regret. It’s like

I agree, but they can’t. Even though people like you and me want their games to revert, the larger part of their current demographic actually ENJOYS the games we hate. They demand Hollywood, they demand grafix, and they demand action and J-Pop. We simply don’t pay the bills anymore.

I'll probably be dead by then, ha ha. You know what? As long as they're not stingy with progress screens and vids, I'll enjoy the anticipation. I haven't been able to enjoy a proper hype train since........ Final Fantasy VII :/

One thing we can all say for certain- the footage we've seen is not gameplay. As cinema, they're stunning. The detail is gorgeous. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for gameplay, however.
