The amiibo deal was just as shit as any other has been. I refreshed on time- they basically put up one unit every 30 seconds instead of an inventory lot at once. I managed to get the first few in my cart, but ended up having each one automatically “saved for later” under the next price, which was more than double for

T’would be nice to know that price, so I can tell if this is a worthwhile endeavor to keep attention on. The worst part would be picking which one I want, although I think Haunter would be the one I need. That, or Flygon.

PC games are PC.

The western PS2 release actually had the orchestral soundtrack that was oddly absent from the Japanese one.

I should hope they would. I've seen Mad Libs books with more original subject matter.

Forealz.

That’s it- they’ll make tons of revenue by suing every basement dev who clones their IP! It’s so simple- I bet they already have a crack legal team lined up. All they need to do now is lay some copyrighted material into the snare...

12 is for the new bloods who have no patience for good character development or battle engines. Basically a bunch of ps2 era graphics junkies with no culture or wish to actually PLAY the game, but rather watch it. The stigmatic brood who brought video games to the pinnacle of non-play they're at today. Play VI. Play a

No lie- I had just received a recommendation this morning on this comment from two years ago, and now I'm reading this. It's a bit eerie.

You know Jay, I feel like this was inspired by a comment I posted about two years ago where I praised the game and derided the strategy guide and PlayOnline- a comment that, although two years old, was replied to this very day prior to this particular story.

Aren't conses in general suffering in Japan? I'm pretty sure the emphasis on mobile and handheld gaming there has curtailed the console market. That's basically how I play anyway (handheld- not mobile).

I’m not in love with the way Amiibo have been released nor the way the scalpers have treated them- but this is written as though from the perspective of a spoiled child, and emo as fuck, ha ha. Nintendo has always been a “take the good with the bad” sort of company- you should know this by now.

My long winded definition was basically the same. A “longing” generally describes something you are far removed from- not something you played a short amount of time ago. You could apply your interpretation of that definition to yesterday.

I’m not a huge online gamer, but Smash and Monster Hunter 4 make me play online. There are hiccups- Smash makes it impossible to cue on a friend’s match, which is silly because of course the room is full. MH4U works awesomely- but the nature of wifi will OCCASIONALLY leave you ditched in a hard situation.

It's pretty much the best thing you can do with it. I did it when I first got mine in like 2005 or whatever, and was so disappointed when every new game FORCED you to update, even if it was a hard copy and you never went online. It was frustrating having to update for what felt like every single game. Now, it's

God I hate that word. Nostalgia is when you are far separated from something by time and your memory rose tints it and clings to it in an idealistic fashion. Nintendo games rarely need rose tinting and rarely go unplayed for a few years- most people I know still play NES, SNES and N64 games whenever they please- so

I think Nintendo’s fan base would abhor that, and they know they couldn’t get away with it. I may be wrong also, but I’m pretty sure some amiibos have multiple games to work with and varying feature unlocks dependent upon which game you’re using them with, which is a better deal than at least Skylanders, where you’re

That’s tricky- despite my interest in Skylanders, I decided to avoid it because of the simple fact that you can’t play the whole game unless you have one figure of each of the myriad elements/affinities. That’s sort of wack- and one reviewer from back then said to do so it would cost over 200 dollars. I’d rather have

I find clicky keys satisfying. Maybe it’s an age thing?

In my experience, any solution that is incomplete or temporary can be extremely dissatisfying- like getting to smell food that whets your appetite but never getting to eat. Unless, that is, you have a 3DS you never plan on playing online or downloading eshop games to in any way, shape or form. Then, party on.
