I love the Street Fighter series, the history and character behind it, what it has done for the entire genre of fighting games, and what it has done for my friends, family and I in our youth. That said, it's getting increasingly hard to get into fighting games nowadays, and it seems to be even harder to convince the

T'is true, but I still don't see that as making it a bad game. It was no more linear than Fusion, and that game heralded acclaim. Some of the best games are linear, however I feel as though Metroid is mistaken as having an absolute way it should be, even though it is a relatively small amount of releases within the

Bla-bla-naysay. It was generally a 3rd person, 2.5D exploratory affair- and much closer to 2D for most of the adventure. Much more like "classic" Metroid games than the Prime trio were (especially Echoes and Corruption). If they made a true "classic" Metroid game, more in the vein of Super Metroid..... nobody

Samesies for Metroid, on a smaller scale. "WE WANT A CLASSIC METROID!! WE WANT A CLASSIC METROID!!

Square Enix..... just like us humans, you get a bit more mature and a bit less attractive every year after 18.

lulz of the year!

I liked the idea that the 3DS and Wii U versions would have portable and console based levels respectively, until I realized that every Smash game until now had both, and now they'll be separated to a large degree. I've grown into much more of a handheld gamer these past few years, so I planned on maybe getting the

I know it's not a new game, but I'm really hoping they just tell us that the Majora's Mask 3D remake is underway..... or leave a dumb, cryptic hint, or laugh and let us know they're laughing, or put the mask in DK: Tropical Freeze for no reason- I don't care. Also, MH4 news would be great. As far as Smash goes.... I

PSP was the first handheld to take on digital media, and I was merely referencing it as such because if you went all digital, there will be a time when you cannot access the games you have bought. PS3 is the same- and even more so covers my point, as a great many games are online-centric, meaning that when servers

Whereas I can play my NES, SNES, Genesis, N64 and PS1 carts and discs whenever I want, years and even decades after they went off the market...... I would say that most current hardware (with the exception of the 3DS for some reason) will only be worth its ability to be hacked 10 years from now. It's already evident

Possibly the easiest "Best Of" list in history. All you had to do is randomly select any group of games from your shelf. I've never been so impressed by any single game system's library since the SNES- and I've gotten much older and very much more jaded since then, so that's saying a lot.

I live in the USA- there's not even word of release for MH4 here yet :(. I think they want to maximize sales for MH3U first, if they even plan on releasing 4 here at all.

I hate to sound like an "I did it first", but I made one like this on my Wii. I'm pretty sure there was a template for something similar on some of the older Mii forums as well. Still, it's great to see it around, and the 3DS he's popping out of was a great touch :)

Oh, I may have misspoken- it was a re-engineering of the play style and flow from the original series. My brain didn't process right. If you never played Metroid Prime 2 or 3, you really didn't miss much.

A few things worth mention:

From how you describe it, it sounds like The After Years is simply Square-Enix's leaders and conceptual designers- they all chewed the franchise into an unrecognizable pulp years ago. Now they continually shit the remnants on our plates and expect us to eat it. Too bad so many people seem to lap it up with a heaping

Clarity received. Effort appreciated. Thanks for the reply!

Hmmmm.... I don't use reddit, but I am interested- is there any chance you could throw me a bone, or is it too much to explain right here right now?

Sony's problem in the handheld market is simply that they don't know what makes handheld games great: simple playability.
