Yeah I understand, I was mainly making a point about how big sites like Kotaku often miss the most obvious of news resources, ones which the community and their fine-combing skills will catch.

Your post has way more information than the article itself!

The game doesn't "suck," but it's not the best ever. I found the story pulled me through it at a rate of knots, it was so compelling, but once the story was over that was kinda... It. I just sat there twiddling my thumbs and thought "okay, time to go play Batman: Arkham Origins."

Origins has probably 20% the same city as City (only a little bit of Old Gotham is the same, the rest has been reworked and expanded, Old Gotham alone is twice the size of Arkham City), with brilliant indoor sections too.

No, no, sorry, I didn't mean "make them all the same" or "see them all as the same." I meant you judge them all by the same standards. You obviously need to apply the same rules to everyone, otherwise the teaching won't be fair. Naturally some students won't have the same capabilities or history of others.

If you're playing on PC, that could be the source of most of your woes- they appear to have definitely optimized the thing for Xbox and PS3. From what I hear, it sounds like there are a hundred times more bugs and implementation issues on PC than console.

No worries man! I'm glad you're getting it. I'm honestly finding Origins, in a few ways, the Batman game I've been wanting all these years. It really reaches some of the potential heights of an open world superhero game.

Yeah man, I think that's the big discrepancy we're having, tbh.

That's cool. I highly recommend Origins. There are all sorts of things which were always kinda weirdly broken in the old games that they never fixed. Things I didn't even think about fixing.

Yeah, that is weird!

Pressing the crouch button? Eh? I think we're talking about different things!

Sorry if I'm bragging. I'm just trying to explain that I'm not another uneducated guy hating on you from the internet. I also don't care if you feel sorry for me at all- I feel fine with myself- this is just trying to keep it clear where I stand and why I'm saying all this.

Go for City for now dude, you'll save money because Origins will be cheaper in the month or two that you decide to go get it.

Punctuation doesn't matter ;)

Oh, and I'd say Origins is better than City by far too :) to me, Origins feels like the potential in City, realised. I'd say do it as per release- Asylum, City, Origins.

You should definitely play Arkham Asylum first dude. It's the best game out of all of them (as much as I'm LOVING Origins), and it the perfect introduction.

You have to hold the Grapnel button to hang onto edges. They changed it so that you automatically vault over, but have to hold the button to hang on. It's better this way, imho. The game tells you that early on.

I'm playing away atm - Origins is fantastic, I prefer it to City - but mate, we all know that there will be another Arkham game from Rocksteady. It's as sure as Naughty Dog making another Uncharted.

Can I just say that, to me, this feels like the game Arkham City should have been?
