What tricks?

8.5 isn't a "meh" score.

There was an Edge Magazine blowout preview; that everyone seems to be completely ignoring. Or that everyone missed.

See my comm @Ivan above.

Like what?

Like what? A.) There's barely been any news about it. B.) I read a blowout article in Edge Magazine that seems to have completely slipped under everyone's radar, and the impression in that was that the game sounded fucking incredible. All the details pointed to it being a completely solid new entry in the series.

You've got to become a little scared of dying. Then all logical approach and thought goes out the window. The most immersion-breaking thing is dying in a game like Amnesia, it really makes it less scary; so if you know and accept that you can die, it ruins the tension, and thus the fear.

A good point, but I found Jericho overall of a far lower quality standard than this title. The story, gameplay, and simulation, just weren't that good. In Jericho. Imho. But you're right: radically different genres and styles.

Driv3r was fun (mostly for the free drive mode and director mode), but extremely broken. It was too ambitious, I think. A remake, with a couple of elements thought-out again, wouldn't go amiss.

Fucking shout bro. However, I still think the JSR OST is a bit better generally.

Chromie's right. JSR series has the best.

Lol'd.

I played half of the game expecting a third city hub, like the original Deus Ex. I didn't get it, and was disappointed: but not THAT disappointed, as the game is great anyway.

It's been done. Was just posted a few threads above, too.

Incredible.

It sounds like a brutal as shit gimmick, but believe me, in full, it works like a fucking dream. There's a lot of surprisingly good writing in there, and mad scenarios; as well as the gameplay being fast and great fun. How did you find shifting jarring? From the start, I didn't find it jarring at all. You just have to

Re: Handling, see my comm at Ivan.

Try it in the first person handling view. Fucking incredible. The best FPS view I've used in any racing game. Really thrilling, and the arcadey handling actually makes sense once you can see what your hands are doing.

To be blunt, this is better than Jericho. (I've played both etc., I ain't just trolling ;P)

It's not.
