@hawkeye18 done: They pour a lot of money into their space program and this is a necessary means to protect their long-term investments.

@tagny.daggart: Even now, it would take several months, if not years for it to do significant damage to our grids. A decade (or more) from now when it is operational, it wouldn't stand a chance of causing enough headaches for us before we get rid of it with a ground-based missile.

@hawkeye18 done: First of all, one doesn't covertly plan a fruitless invasion that is sure to leave civilization in ruins 10 years ahead of time by letting the world know you're creating a satellite that has a potential for malice.

@hawkeye18 done: I doubt the space recycling plan could be profitable, and a satellite-sabotage mission would be an act of war. They would be better off launching some ICBMs and saving everyone some time.

@Bryan Labchuk: Good. Identifying your problem is the first step toward fixing it.

@Bryan Labchuk: Did you not read my comment, or do you just not understand the implications?

@Bryan Labchuk: You do realize that equating meat to cigarettes makes you sound like a raving lunatic, right?

Does anyone know where I can get a 16oz Altoids tin?

@Bryan Labchuk: Meat isn't making us sick, shitty meat is. I eat meat every day, and I'm perfectly healthy.

TSA is fighting a losing battle because they are looking at the problem upside-down.

Thank GOD.

@tomsomething: You've never had a real, thorough pat-down before, have you? Having an anonymous person in another room see a distorted approximation of your form is a hell of a lot less degrading than having your junk resting on some guy's hand two or three times as he rubs every inch of your body.

@tomsomething: They're trying to get people who would otherwise take the scan because they see it as the lesser of two humiliations.

@tomsomething: I took it as an attempt to DDOS the security checkpoints. Patting down that many people would take a really long time.

I'm sorry, but that looks like crap.

@niccohel: Fail. Put it on the damn pilot! They are so cheap these days, they could put several throughout the plane, including the pilot's suit, without giving the price tag of the place a noticeable bump.
