On one hand, women’s bodies have been scrutinized, commoditized, and violated in favor of an entitled public view for years, so I shouldn’t feel bad when it happens to a man. On the other hand, he was clearly on a private resort and just had his privacy wildly violated.

Yes. It is. Gay people are murdered too, but trans people, and especially trans women, and especially trans women of color are at that perfect intersection of “threatening to masculinity” and “presumed less valuable because of racism” and “okay to cheapen or make fun of (a la Wendy Williams) because of lack of

I mean, there could have been another reason why a trans woman was driven to a random location, beaten up, then executed, but I think we all know this was a hate crime. The silent epidemic of trans murders continues.

MOIST!!! (am I first?)

all in favor of never saying “panties” again say aye.

You mean freedom of religion means the inclusion of all religions?

You win. All day. Every day for this. This is exactly why folk are pissed about that dam stupid shirt all those privileged white women were wearing. Look, they have a great topic to explore and make movies on; but to blatantly invoke slavery (regardless of the origin of the fucking quote) was plain stupid, dumb, and

Yeeeah, people are trying to justify the quote (which is from Emmeline Pankhurst, Streep’s character in the film) by saying she wasn’t talking about THAT kind of slavery, but the slavery of being unable to vote. But the issue here is obviously that she thought her plight as a white woman that wasn’t allowed to vote

The complaint there was not with the word “rebel,” it was with “slave.” Gender oppression is not the same as racial oppression, and it’s not okay to claim the suffering of another group as a way to bolster one’s own cause, PARTICULARLY when the context is promo for a movie about a bunch of women who were often

Amazing how men are so threatened by a woman doing what a man has done for years. Doris Burke on College Basketball was a breath of fresh air. The women ESPN have used in the booth for college football are excellent also like Pam Ward. Note to all self appointed taste makers of what sports needs to be, shut the fuck

He was so remorseful that he called her it again in his apology.

Not Susan, though....

WTH is up with everyone on here like “I wonder what would have happened if person was x and the other was x” JFC this is racism. We all know it. The child was suspended because he’s black. Quit pretending like there’s some other fucking reason.

Black person: “I’ve experienced racism before and I know this is racist”

That's such a cute picture of the Obama gals! I love how their shoes match the other ones dress!

It makes me really sad to see so much animosity between Kanye and Amber. As much as I believe Kim and Kanye are truly in love, I really believed Amber and Kanye were truly in love at one point too and it’s such a bummer to see two people who used to care about each other so much, care about each other so little.

This is a very problematic topic. For example, if you have two people who both agree that they will marry but will be comfortable with some straying within some specific parameters, then hey! Go for it! I do believe that traditional marriage isn’t necessarily a one-size-fits-all thing.

same with mine, no one but the person receiving the procedure in the treatment room.

Fuck everything about this movie and Roland Emmerich. If he’s not interested in providing a representative account of queer and LGBT activists, not interested in challenging straight audiences, and not interested in putting himself into the movie as anyone other than the protagonist... what exactly is he doing making

I don’t trust anyone that goes to a chiropractor.
