Amen. I reacquainted with an old friend during a visit to her home and much to my chagrin she had the doozy "Live, Laugh, Love" like EVERYWHERE in her house. Plaques, pillows, I think there was even a candle holder. It's like she had raided that sale bin and racks next to the cash registers in Marshall's or something.

"If I can do it, you can do it," is a problematic thing to say under any circumstances. It's so arrogant. People have different motivations, priorities, skills, personalities and experiences. Get over yourself. Other people are not you, and - hard to believe, I know - may not even want to be.

Of all the ridiculous nonsense on Pinterest, I get the most worked up by the obviously mis-attributed quotes.

"Babies are special love gems made in your heart then pushed out of your vag."

I will totally buy it when it is in the B&N "Bargain" section and give it to my best friend for her birthday. Because that's the kind of unselfish friend I am.

My friend wrote "though she be little she be fierce" on all of her baby shower invitations. I asked if she had read midsummer night's dream and she replied "What?" and then I died a little on the inside.

Could you get the second to last put on a pillow for me? I'd like to give it to roughly everyone I know who's having a baby. Thanks.

WHO BUYS THIS BOOK?

Ever since I read that Rielle Hunter was actually Allison Poole, I have imagined her modern day life as involving a McMansion with horrible wall stencils!

I'm here for the greyhounds.

I'm pretty sure that's code for "Charlie really had no idea how rabid, pathetic and balls to the wall crazy 50 Shades fans actually are, that is, until an unidentified midwestern housewife accosted him in a Los Angeles drugstore, handcuffed herself to his ankle and begged him to spank her with a horse whip. I apologize for coming off as a twitlet. It isn't the sight of pink so much as the blatant exploitation of a very good cause for corporate gain alongside the general ignorance surrounding the other cancers that affect women exclusively that really grinds my gears.

"Goodbye!"

My cousin was in her 40s, and left behind two children, ages 8 and 18. :(

Thank you very much for this great response. Your experience is just as notable and you make good points too. *hug*

And on top of that, I can just imagine how people with things like lung cancer, which no one is exactly having a fundraising blitz for, feel. I mean, you brought that on yourself, right? I don't even bother to say that's what my cousin died of - just saying 'cancer' makes people think of her with sympathy and pity,

You know my Aunt Carol?
