Very click-baity and disingenuous. Words have meaning. And to attempt to slander someone who by all accounts is not racist, and probably didn’t know the meaning of the ball, its all kinds of fucked up.

I’m confused what the writer believes the political message is here, other than the obvious broad themes. Trump isn’t president anymore. Almost every recent Far Cry game has been about good rebels rebelling against a totalitarian dictator or warlord. I think what Ubisoft is trying to do is say “this is a game about…
I mean... they can have games that feature political turmoil from the characters and setting, without trying to make some sort of grand political statement about the real world.
But I guess that kind of nuance is a bit difficult for some of the contributors around here, who would rather just post reactionary news…
Yeah, I bet the people that work for the church of Scientology don’t think it’s a scam either.
They have raised more money than it cost to build and market Red Dead 2 (one of the most expensive games ever) yet after 10 years the game is no closer to being released.
So let me recap this for you as succinctly as I can:
Nope, nope, nope. I have followed this game since it launched as much as I follow any other game. I routinely watch people break down the changes they’ve made just because they pop up through my social media and Youtube feeds. I know what this game is and what’s in this game.
If the game ever releases this is what will doom it:
The faith-militant will expect, nay demand, special treatment. If someone spent $1000 on a ship in 2013 what the fuck will they do if a similar ship becomes available to new players at pennies on the dollar?
The newbies will hate the game, as they’ll get blasted out…
Look, I have no dog in the fight - I don’t play the game, never have, don’t think I ever will, but goddamn is this kind of performative game bashing pathetic.
2 of these groups of people have made their peace with whatever star citizen is in one way or another. The 3rd seems hellbent on making themselves and as many others as they can miserable about it.
There’s also a 4th group - people who know this is a scam and want to warn others to stay away.
A decent PC.
“There are absolutely legitimate complaints to be raised about the game”
Cyberpunk on the series x was a treat. GOTY honestly. I wish Star Citizen was Cyberpunk.
Whatever you do, don’t complain about the bugs in-game. Everyone will immediately jump down your throat about it being an alpha test and that you shouldn’t complain because the game isn’t done yet.
In the early 2010’s, I was caught up in the hype, bought in for a specific pirating ship model (the Cutlass) because of talks about tractor beams, docking rings, pvp ship boarding, ship mass and handling, thruster location, gunner pod fields of view, cargo capacity, etc etc... I’m their target sucker, I didn’t care if…
Star Citizen is like right behind the Trump Election Defense Fund in terms of hilariously obvious scams
Star Citizen is what people think Cyberpunk was.
seriously this game is such a ridiculous scam
If only they had gotten to half a billion dollars, they might have functioning elevators!
