Certain models have a waiting list of 2+ years; for others, you have to apply for the privilege of paying them and they choose who they sell to. They’ll happily sell you a pre-owned one though.

Or spend $5k more for a brand new one, better residual value and full warranty?
I hear it’s a perfectly fine commuter/appliance EV. And for almost half off the MSRP, it’ll should like electric hot cakes
Yes, that is also the only reason why I held off. Not that I’m poor AF, cannot get on a Ferrari purchasing list to save my life nor that this costs 2x more than my house - it’s that 20 hp that made the difference.
Hold the door! .............Hodor
Came to say this. I’ve been wary of selling furniture or big items I can’t move from my house, so I’ve had to take a leap of faith that whoever’s coming to my house isn’t going to kill me, but for anything portable I’m going to my PD’s private sale parking lot.
There was already a car chase/shootout on the moon in Ad Astra. For reasons.
He pumps hydrogen-cooled Corona into his veins for the final EVA boss fight on the surface of the ISS.
So what’s the logic of leaving Petty? Better salary/contract with another team?
My knowledge of the stonk market lies just below what you describe, so I’ll assume it’s a ploy that Axe is running, but Taylor will suss out and stop
Part of why TSLA has shot up is the Robinhood crowd - theoretically and logically a stock split should do nothing do boost the price, but on a visceral and emotional level people go “oh it’s cheaper now!” Never mind that most brokerage firms allow you to purchase fractional shares.
Every brand has their loyalists but the Teslarati take cognitive dissonance to a whole new level. I’m a Tesla fan, can’t wait to get a Model 3 Performance but I can’t with this kind of ownership fervor.
It’s bad on Teslas but it’s bad on other cars too. I haven’t yet seen a Challenger rear end that had their tail lights aligned.
That severe C-pillar cut line rustles my jimmies...I get that it facilitates a gigantic rear hatch opening which I like, but it’s so severe. I’d probably get one in black or graphite to hide that line.
My default state is that every EV company is vaporware, until they’re not. Too many empty promises, not enough product delivered. This (and Rivian) look very enticing.
It’s like trickle down electronomics - start with the prestige profit makers first, establish the brand, goodwill and sales, then develop mass commuter versions (like Tesla’s playbook.) I would love to see more affordable performance EVs which aren’t SUVs, hatchbacks or compliance vehicles.
I mean...I can see timeline promises slipping hard, but it seems like the details shown here are factual and exist in real life, unlike other vaporware EV companies. Unless it’s all fake news and mock-ups, which, you know, #2020 and all that.
Seeing these pics, I kinda want to throw a bunch of burlap BBQ grill covers onto my car, strategically placed, so people think it’s a pre-production mule out for testing. “Is that the new Charger Hellcat Redeye Demon Lucifer Morning Star edition with 1400 HP?! Look at the camo!”
I’ll point to 3laine’s post because it’s exactly what I would have written:
