I don’t get offended - I get it.  It just wastes my time because I’ve done the price/market comparison before I list it for sale.  Ideally, if someone offered close to what I list for, I’d consider it, but that is never the case in my experience.

Overly simplistic, but yes.  A lot of people don’t have time/effort available for 2) and 3).  Also there may be tax advantages if your trade-in value goes in towards a new purchase at a dealer.

That’s why I always price my used items at maybe the 3rd lowest price on eBay. And never set up “Allow offers” because they are always, always low bids like your example above.
