The last fender bender I had, a lady (we’ll call her Karen) turned into my rear corner out of a straight-only lane. When my first call was to the cops to report it, she looked at me like I grew a third eye. “Why did you call them? It’s no big deal.” Like, she couldn’t fathom why the police were involved: she had her

Same.  Maybe they feel bad for firing someone during COVID-19 but this guy...I’ve never read someone who understands his field less than him.

I keep giving Shilling’s articles a chance, and I keep regretting my decisions.

Looks like Walt from Lost, in a flash forward.

Cute Switch version

Still passes the Bechdel Test.

I’m not an engineer and have no idea if it’s common practice, but TIL that automakers in 2020 use fucking zipties as part of construction.  Just like I would when I’m too cheap/lazy/unable to properly fix something.  Wow

Thank you for a Pikachu surprise pic that’s not all pixelated

Same.  And I knew that he was Claire Danes’ husband too.

Man, what is her prep game like?  I feel like she’s had to cry once per episode this season

LOL that you still think this is a “news” site

I loved that Andrea basically gives orders to prioritize a defect fix, allocating all resources and skipping the backlog, to what seems like...an admin in Obsidian’s lobby.  That’s...not how project prioritization works.

I first saw a Viper RT/10 when I was 14 and it ignited my love of cars. Heard stories over the years of how it tries to kill you, it’s brutal, etc etc; finally rented a ‘97 GTS Coupe for a weekend and it was an absolute sweetheart. Shifts were slightly long but the clutch was not hammer heavy, and the power was easily

Oh it’s fine.  I have a Dodge one filled with Vipers and Hellcats.  Doesn’t mention the higher education thing but it’s fun.

Yet another shit take by Erik Shilling.  News at 11: water is wet, sky is blue.

Next article from Shilling: “You People killed Tesla by not buying cars”

When I bought my Pacifica Hybrid, the dealer advertised a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.  I am under no fantasy frame of mind that they will actually fix anything if I bring it back to them 10 years and 170,000 miles later with a powertrain issue.

So the article says that so long as the properties are being used consistently with how the NFL is in real life, it’s ok - which is strange to me.  Seems like a fine line which they run across often, especially this last season with the withholding of health care for former players.

So does a show like HBO’s Ballers somehow circumnavigates any NFL royalties or permissions? They definitely don’t paint the NFL (and it’s proxy executive members) in any kind of positive light, yet they use all team logos, players, and any other descriptors as needed.

One more. Lay the fuck off the “you people”, Erik, or at least find some other triggered phrase for your sob stories.
