When he says “you people” he means auto enthusiasts.  Because he clearly isn’t one...I’m convinced he’s here purely to offer a contrarian view, ie what the other side thinks.

Thank you!  We’ll be partying hard in exotic, off the beaten path areas like Living Room and Upstairs Game Room.

What I expect is that we’ll start to accomodate this current normal.  My company had not had a WFH ability for our phone agents and we now have stocked 170+ laptops and gear for them to be able to do so.  This will make severe weather contingency planning much easier in the future.  My fear is after a few years of

This is a perfect wake-up call to change up the dealer model - a lot of them around here have pivoted to valet service. They bring a model to you to test drive, handle paperwork remotely, take your car for trade in, etc. And this is a FCA dealer, not a luxury dealer.

Take it from an old man (well, a week away from 40. Old to you.) - this is an unprecedented, lifetime event. Not even 9/11 had this kind of daily impact - while it changed our complete world view, it did not affect our daily lives like this. You remember some of it.  The last comparable example is probably WWII.

Could do without the shitty BOOM sound effect, but, interesting.

Same.  I don’t wear gloves; instead, before I get in the car I take a disinfectant wipe and scrub my hands, phone, wallet, whatever I touched outside in the store before getting into the car

I agree with everything you say - except that if you relax any kind of insurance requirement, people will take that to mean they don’t need insurance anymore. Already here in DFW there are way too many people who sign up for unscrupulous weekly insurance plans to pass registration, then cancel it. Then when they

I would guess your typical pickup truck buyer is not concerned with tech like hybrid and electric engines. It’s coming around though.

It means you don’t have to be there, but if you are willing to be, you’ll be paid.  I know, it’s anachronistic.

That woman, the one who runs GM. It’s amazing what they can do when you slap their company on their rear and get them moving. Tremendous.

She did, the day before - the post about the bunker.

It acts as a gateway car to full EV.  We bought a Pacifica Hybrid and I’m all in on trading in my Scat Pack for a Model 3 Performance.  Electric is the future.

I love that the guys are on their phones and Kristen’s just nonplussed.

SPOILER ALERT FOR AN 11 YR OLD GAME

TL;DR: Twitter sucks and the world would be better off without it.

We’ve been taking our Pacifica Hybrid to and from day care almost exclusively - it just feels wasteful driving my Scat Pack when we have sweet, sweet cheap electric use.  But after this article, I’m taking a lunchtime drive in the Charger.

You just now needed your laptop charger?  What kind of future-tech laptop battery are you using?
