You can meet quota at Deadspin by reposting a letter that everyone's already read and adding a dialogue-styled narrative to it? Brilliant.

I'm talking about as a part of a narrative, not a literal thing.Viscerally, war has "guts" and "balls," and other lighter Phys Ed-grade sports have "courage" and "heart." I guess "bleeding" always struck me as a tedious and trite one to focus on. My 2¢.

I thought that was a pretty well-written letter, and reasonably tasteful. Clearly the result of some hard lessons learned on PR moves.

To be fair, that section of Alaska only houses a population of fifty people. Fifty two if Donna has twins this coming month.

How much of a contract does this level of expertise merit to you?

Very interested to see what the bleachers look like next season for the Heat.

Well, I know Nabokov was a professor at Cornell for a decent chunk of his prime years, but I don't see that reflected here. In general, I'd like to see how this was compiled because, especially for the creative professionals, I can't imagine anything being so static.

So, your contention is that he wouldn't be clear because he set a precedent that he regrets and he'll stick with it? Brilliant analysis.

Look on the bright side: The USMNT properly won one of the four games they played. Now the nation can resume its obliviousness to the sport, including the MSL season still underway.

Between the comments section here and my Facebook feed, there's a uniquely original blend of passive-aggressive, self-righteousness to be found. Pretty intense stuff, especially considering most of this cast only features in my friends' pervue once every four years.

Hah, I had flashes of that an the weird goons from I Am Legend flash through my mind immediately.

Nah. It's just the internet, dude.

You're verifying that he's correct about revisionism coloring context of commentary in print articles? Brilliant. Gold star.

Why is this confusing? I was commenting on how it is seeing the article visually change and sort of amend itself while the comments are static. There were initially people commenting on different iterations of it, and since sites like this allow for social interactivity in ways that print media doesn't, it's

This .gif always reminds me of fainting goat syndrome.

Look at what you just wrote and understand this: you don't get it. You're arguing a different point that what I was trying to make. And that's fine. And I really don't care.

Yes it is different. Of course it is.

I like the revisions this went through over the course of a few minutes, from just being a tweet, to an article with only the text "holy shit" next to the tweet, to finally being a slightly more rational article. You really get a sense for internet blog-news sites and how different it is having to report on stories

Yeah, this isn't a "holy shit" moment so much as a "no shit" moment. It puts the pressure on Miami to do more to keep him around.

You just don't get it.
