I was more confused by this ending as a kid, but it still seemed pretty sad. I mean, sure, they get to be their own Adam & Eve in a new galaxy, but the metaphysics of black holes leading to both Hell and a new afterlife of species-starting sex always seemed like a bummer to me.

I was just upset that they weren't using props... that they were actually shooting tarantulas on the set of the movie. What did they ever do?

Depends on which of the endings you're talking about. It would have been a sad perfect ending if it'd closed when he jumped. Or if he just froze at the bottom eternally asking the Blue Fairy to make him a real boy. Or the Spielberg ending with the alien-looking robot things and the stupid explanation for why they

Don't forget Jurassic Park and Carnosaur (though in that case, the latter was clearly just trying to ride the dino bandwagon, esp with it's tagline "This ain't no walk in the park.").

Just so long as the Holiday Special is made canon and included in every DVD & Blue Ray sale of any Star Wars product from here on out, I think we'll be good.

Well, they are Sub-Zero temperatures...

Wait, how many rare Tulips and Bitcoins do I need to mine & fuse before I can get a black chocobo?

It'll be a red-shirted person we meet that episode.

People, people... there are enough torrents on both sides of the pond to get us all the Orphan Black, Sherlock, Downton, Copper, and whatever else we need. I just wish I could get past the BBC's "you don't live here so you can't access this part of our web site" walls online.

While I agree mostly with most everything you said, couldn't you have titled this "Biggest Mistakes... of 2013 IN SCI-FI"? There were plenty of other huge mistakes, blunders, and bad ideas in the rest of our world in 2013 that were bigger than a company making a choice about a fictional character (structural mistakes

When the Zentraedi stole Roy from us...

So... its physics are Mage: The Ascension crossed with In Nomine? Sounds like a good read.

My guess is that this will also explain why the next incarnation looks like John Frobisher (who was also played by Peter Capaldi) from Torchwood: Children of Earth. Maybe this is the last of the unique "The Doctor" incarnations, and now each new version has to take on the appearance of someone he's already run into

That's such a great movie. And so quotable.

I only really hate her for the voice actor who played her in the American release. I still cringe when I hear that voice.

If only they'd managed to hook up with some sort of Umbrella Corporation to provide them with protection from this water-poison... that's a movie I'd pay to see.

Oh man, I can't wait for Maximilian's kid Lil' Maxie to hit the angsty stage & kill everyone...

Just because outside folks can't prove whether or not you're conscious doesn't mean, as the article's title claims, that it's difficult to prove that you're awake. Just read some text, which requires the left brain, to wake you from your right brain dominated dream. If you can make out the letters (and not just the

I think Carol ninja'd into the prison and took baby Judith. That way they can do a Lone Wolf & Cub spinoff series w/ the two of them.
