I agree. The headline makes it sounds like FitBit is a complete and bogus sham, but the article says that it's just no better than other devices, including iPhones.

The shame factor of those things is no joke. I lost mine and actually ended up replacing it because seeing how goddamn low those numbers were now that I work in an office terrified the shit out of me. Not having them shoved in my face multiple times a day made it easier to be in denial.

Whatever. It may not be totally accurate but the $50 I spent on my fitbit was worth it. It 100% shames me into walking more. Judgemental numbers do so much more for me than they should. Do whatever works for you. All I know is that getting to the step goal becomes an obsession with users and it gets you moving more.

A better question is why we should measure their sales against each other's, and how it plays into the misogynist habit of assuming any two women who exist in the same space are competing. John Cleese and Martin Short have memoirs out too: Why not throw them into the comparison?

Why are we pitting two successful women against each other, yet again?

I get what you're saying, but I don't feel like she thinks that it is going to be the exact same baby... Like I thought she was talking to the idea of *her* child? But that's just how I read it..

God that would be hot. What sucks is I fear that we still live in a world where a movie starring Cameron Diaz and Ryan Gosling would be called a "romantic comedy," while the exact same movie starring Kerry Washington and Jesse Williams would be called a "black movie."

PLEASE LET ONE OF THE MEN BE JESSE WILLIAMS

How many inspiring women did you pass on your way to work today? You know the type: stunning, confident, and wearing

I have looked at the "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent." tweet in every way possible and I cannot fathom what he means. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt and took it to mean that what he's saying is that if you're unconcious, you're not "with" someone,

Yeah...I really can't stand the guy, he's a pretty terrible human being all around. But I don't like anyone catching shit for their real or perceived sexuality. That's not cool no matter how you cut it. Maybe this is legit, and she'll handle her part in it decently, but even then this sort of shit is still like

Anybody who thinks it's hypocritical for us to hate rape and like sex isn't very good at thinking.

"Someday my prince will cum."

This is why Crumbs has failed, and it is only partially to do with the eternally changing trends in desserts: Crumbs cupcakes are horrible.

I'm with you. I lose all sympathy and respect the second someone tells another person to kill themselves.

In real life, if you say stuff you regret in anger, you cool down, apologize & move on.If you're a celeb on social media - it becomes a blog

This is so disappointing. I met Adam Richmond a couple years back (pre-weight loss), and he was a super nice guy. It sucks seeing this side of someone whose show I watched and who I genuinely liked. Thinspiration is not a word that popped into the lexicon out of nowhere - it has very well known roots in pro-ana

Once, the KKK stopped the Church for protesting a soldier's funeral, because we live in a weird fucking country.
