The company probably should have honored the guy’s original deal and spec’d him a car like he wanted and eaten the cost. They made the mistake, took the man’s deposit, and promised him a particular car. Making right on this would have cost, what, $20,000 or so?

I had an ‘89 2WD pickup. You know what’s weird? For all the weight being on the nose, those things understeer something fierce. I had to put an aftermarket rear bar on it to get it to stop pushing through every corner.

So far, so good. Their Aston service guy was really nice and — here’s the key — he called me back when he said he would and answered the phone when I called. A rare trait among car dealer service departments.

It’s find if the footer was an opt-in option, but otherwise you’re advertising for the program without your consent (unless you knew these settings were on by default and are okay with it). The footer also looks unprofessional.

Does it do this by default? Because if so, the proper reaction should be “uninstall”, not “turn it off”. That’s a pretty big violation of trust, IMO.

The first-gen cars had diff problems. This is lightyears away from that car.
