@wrestlingnrj: Guilty of that myself. Though... not quite that much. Only like $6k between rims, tires, nav, exhaust, intake, tuning, shifter, etc etc.

It wouldn't run and I just had a bunch of instances of the app running in the background. I couldn't see anything on the menu bar nor did it give me any indication it had even started.
I'm a pretty huge fan of the macbook keyboard. It feels great, minimal key travel, and it's built into the machine ;)
Yeah the war drivers of the world have been doing this for ages. It works great but you wind up with a fairly directional antennae. It can be great for isolating signals though.
@Kylotan: Remember though - up until very recently, that sort of thing wouldn't work. Internet access was either expensive or unavailable. Now you'd be hard pressed to find some place without internet.
This is a great move. I think that they should still have a default mail client though - something that just kinda works. The rest of the crap like all of the MSN products will not be missed though.
A lot of login methods don't tell you whether or not the username is valid. They just say that either the username is no good OR the password is no good. I wonder how well this tool works.
@bluest: Google usually starts off their APIs like that so if you wait a bit I'm sure we'll see support for Ruby, Python, C/C++, etc etc.
Hopefully we get some nice Android devices on Verizon soon. I think this is going to be the thing to really stick it to the iPhone.
@Jonathan Harford: I suppose it's really only a matter of time.
I think google said during the press conference that it was not their intention to make this their "Google OS" or anything like that. They just wanted something that would run web apps properly. If you switch to predominantly web apps then pretty much any browser you use will be your OS.
@critiquer: I think that pre-purchase, you prices will still change to reflect the most current price. My cart still does this.
I can't believe this works. I gotta try this. I left a banana in my garbage over a long weekend and they have been all over the place ever since.
Looks interesting. I'm still waiting for my account information though...
@Phoshi: And V8.
Honestly - if you want to not get ripped off by mechanics then you should learn something about your car. When you walk in with an overheating problem and they insist that you need a new radiator, new coolant, new shocks/springs, jaseline bearings, kuper gasket, and hanson cable then you'll know they are full of it.
Does this use any less memory than previous versions on Windows?
@persei7: Yeah and honestly, those aren't very telling percentages. It says people can be super up tight and are looking for a cookie cutter machine, whereas, others are looking for a "person" to get in and contribute. I mean it's almost 50/50.
@northwalnut: I know. I was shocked as well. Here all this time I thought they were "flawed robots."
@mhlaxp: Yeah I was just going to say "you forgot about about:%"
