Another good exploration of the Gordian knot of NOLF rights:

Now playing

What made it doubly odd was that it was genuinely funny.

Wish Sony would just buy the rights to Crash and Spyro.

Would love to see another True Crime if it can equal or exceed the last one (that wasn’t released as a True Crime game)

I think you’re right - Nintendo hasn’t really developed many new characters with anything approaching the name recognition of the characters you mentioned. What I would say, though, is that neither Sony or Microsoft has managed to take these characters and stretch them across so many styles of games, in some cases

A few notes: the Super Smash Brothers roster is FILLED with less than A tier characters, so why would Xbox’s have to be any different? Hell, Playstation’s SSB-esque game was so threadbare that they had multi-platform mascots in the lineup. Even so, I think that you’re giving MS/Activiblizz Too little credit here for

Microsoft could easily do a Platstation All Stars/Smash game, Playstation All Stars already used several characters from third party games to flesh their roster out, why couldn’t/wouldn’t Microsoft do the same?

I’d love to see a new Prototype, those games were crazy.

Hexen done in the same vein as the modern Dooms would be fucking amazing. Multiple classes would be a fun mechanic to keep playing with, and the storyline is just such classic old school dark fantasy. They just need to embrace the 90s white knuckle action, give us giant maps and puzzles, and make it so metal that it

I mean it’s not a lot of time for a major position at the company. This is effectively his exit.

My gamepass subscription just doubled in value.

As an outsider (I haven’t played minecraft since I had a Windows Phone), Minecraft doesn’t seem like the type of game you 2.0, but one that you continually improve. Why bifurcate the base? The spin-offs have been well received. I don’t see the problem there.

Or, it’s an unsurprisingly terrible port of a current-gen only game that should never have been ported to Switch in the first place.

Disco Elysium might be one of the best games ever made.

Haven’t played the game, so I can’t judge, but Duke3D’s greatest strength for me is that it’s some of the best 3D level design ever made. It took the (already very good) levels of doom and refined them. It’s complex without being labyrinthine, it subtly guides you to where you need to go but still requires

There are so many people that are unwilling to try anything on Game Pass. They spend way more time crying about how there “aren’t any games” instead of actually playing some.

Heck, I had Sea of Stars, Lies of P, and Starfield and by far the least interesting experience I’ve had has been Starfield while Sea of Stars is one of my favorite games of the last few years.

read: We want to avoid a situation like Fall Guys and boost our margins to make Epic happy, so we’re eliminating the secondary market so that we can make direct profit off those cosmetic sales.

I wouldn’t mind checking out the COD SP campaigns - GP is a perfect place for them. They’re very much play-once-never-again affairs.
