*shrug*

I don’t think this qualifies as pedantry. The headline is misleading because it’ll make people think this game has some meaningful connection to BG3. It does not. This game has nothing to do with BG3 outside of sharing the same, broader setting that existed long before BG3 and has been used by tons of other games.

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not but BG3's mainstream success means that yes, many of its players likely don’t know what Forgotten Realms is. Enjoyment of BG3 does not require familiarity with the Forgotten Realms setting.

I used to use ISTAD but switched to gg.deals because they include unauthorized resellers which usually have the best deals. One thing I miss from ISTAD is the ability to filter by historical lows. It’s a good way of checking for unprecedented discounts.

The small screen doesn’t hide the low framerates, though. How much extra playtime does a USB-C battery give the Steam Deck when playing demanding games?

I consider 30 FPS to be poor performance so I stand by my original statement.

It is a bit weird that people are playing hardware-intensive games like Hogwarts, Cyberpunk, Starfield, RDR2, etc, on the Deck. Aside from looking and running poorly, they’ll drain the battery real quick, undermining the whole point of the Deck: portability.

Baldur’sGate 3: $6 off. 10%. Guaranteed it will be at least that % off for every other sale on Steam/Humble/GOG/Fanatical/EVERYWHERE ELSE 5-6 times a year going forward.

I already addressed this generalization but apparently Killy deleted my reply? Guess I’ll post it again.

Not sure how personal preference is relevant to this discussion. I’m just explaining how XCOM and Midnight Suns are very different games that offer very different experiences. I enjoy them both but for different reasons that I’ve already explained.

That might be the silliest thing I’ve read all month. Please, do at least 30 seconds of research before posting.

I don’t think it’s that simple. The rating boards consider context when judging content. BG3 is an isometric game with limited camera control so even if your party is naked, it’ll be difficult to zoom in on any character’s privates. In Cyberpunk, full nudity was limited to cutscenes (where players have no control) and

As always, check gg.deals first before buying anything on Steam. Chances are high you’ll find a better deal from a reseller.

Just ignore it. You don’t have to read Twitter, reddit or Youtube comments. I don’t and it’s great! I just play games and enjoy them on their own merits regardless of what other people think.

It’s not that hard. Chuckles never said he was going to boycott Epic. He just said he didn’t want to support EGS. You claimed that buying any UE game supported EGS, which is false. Buying a UE game supports UE. UE is a good engine so it deserves support. EGS is a bad platform so it doesn’t deserve support.

Sure there is. They are different products. The success of EGS isn’t measured by the success of UE. For one, UE is actually profitable while EGS continues to burn money thanks to giveaways like this. The success of EGS is measured by its profitability and claiming a giveaway doesn’t increase said profitability. If

Unreal Engine and EGS are two different things. UE is actually good. EGS is bad. You can support games that use UE without supporting EGS.

Yeah, it seems odd to let other people’s opinions affect your own enjoyment of something. If you don’t like reading about people jerking off to Stellar Blade’s protagonist, just don’t read that stuff? reddit can be easily avoided.

Still bummed that Embracer canceled their Deus Ex game. Was hoping for a finale to the prequel trilogy.

Yeah, it’s very misleading to anyone unfamiliar with D&D. Forgotten Realms is a very broad and popular setting that’s used by most D&D games. Just because this game uses it doesn’t mean it’ll have anything meaningful in common with BG3.
