You claimed that streaming killed those industries. “Industry” refers to business so making money really is the be all, end all.

Yeah, none of it really made sense. If the spirits’ goal was to avenge Anna’s death, the angry mob of women already accomplished that. Maybe the spirits’ goal was actually to shut down the mining operation? If so, this was a pretty convoluted way to do it.
You realize that both Nintendo and Sony have streaming services too, right?
Yeah, it’s just a weird take since you said you misplaced the discs. That means you were interested enough in the games to buy them at one point and are still interested in having digital versions of them. You can get a GOG key for FO1 for 20 cents. Fallout 2 costs $2.
...why?
I guess I just don’t think movies look smooth. We only accept 24 FPS in film because that’s what we’ve been conditioned to over the past 70 years. When a movie actually is smooth (e.g. The Hobbit running at 48 FPS), we get offended because it’s not what we’re used to. So, it’s more accurate to say that motion blur…
The final episode heavily implies that Anna’s ghost placed her own tongue at the lab to help the detectives link the two cases together. The women who killed the scientists stated that they didn’t place it there and nobody else had any logical reason to do so.
I’ll never understand the notion that motion blur somehow makes low framerates more tolerable. It doesn’t make the game feel any smoother, it just makes it blurrier because frames are blurrier for longer.
Expecting any movie adaptation to be completely faithful to the source material isn’t very realistic. It’s much easier to just treat the movie as a standalone thing and judge it by what it is, not by what you want it to be.
Nah, Valve doesn’t have exclusivity clauses. If a dev/pub doesn’t want to support PC Game Pass, it’s probably because they’re worried it’ll cannibalize sales. Or they think that creating a new SKU for the game to support the Xbox/MS Store APIs would be too much work.
The developers/publishers decide which platforms to support, not MS. MS absolutely pushes for parity but it’s ultimately up to the devs/pubs.
Eh... I tried QB after loving Control and it didn’t go well. QB has too many committed animation transitions, making movement feel clunky during combat. In addition, I really don’t want to have to watch 30 minute cutscenes to keep up with the narrative.
Now we wait to see if the other two, the action-rhythm game Hi-Fi Rush and the pirate sim Sea of Thieves, will follow suit as expected.
This looks fine to me. The trailer made me smile and chuckle a few times so I suspect the full movie will have its moments.
I believe it did cheapen season 4 and made it worse so, yeah, it was meant to be pejorative. We’re talking about an established IP here which built a fanbase around specific strengths. It’s reasonable to criticize season 4 for undermining those strengths by resorting to supernatural stuff.
The last KI game doesn’t count..? From what I understand, it was good.
I feel the opposite. To me, the appeal of True Detective has always been about exploring the human condition and how people deal with weakness and trauma. As such, it’s important that humans be doing all the horrific shit. Humans also need to be the ones figuring things out and solving problems. If ghosts are doing…
*SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN’T SEEN THE ENTIRE SEASON*
I’ve never heard anyone call season 3 bad. It wasn’t as good as S1 but still good on its own merits and way better than seasons 2 and 4.
What? I thought Season 3 was good and way better than Season 4. I think S4 might be tied with S2 in terms of quality.
