I don’t think there is any explanation because BGS didn’t really think of any. They likely looked at Ghouls, thought they looked like zombies and decided to turn most of them into zombies.

Most of what you described would need to be handcrafted. They used procedural generation to create the planets, distribute fauna and foliage, etc. The POIs are entirely handcrafted. The problem is that there just aren’t enough POIs to fill all of the planets so there’s a ton of repetition. They could create multiple…
I dont feel the need to be nice when its unearned.
I seriously doubt they wouldn’t patch the games to work fully offline should the servers ever be shut down. The games already have offline modes.
20% isn’t a great discount. You can get the PC version for over 50% off from various resellers: https://gg.deals/pack/hitman-trilogy/
It’s more highly esteemed by a vocal minority of players. The majority of players think/thought FO3 was the better game, as indicated by its superior critical and commercial reception.
I don’t think it’s possible for them to fix the game’s core issues. They decided to make a game with thousands of planets and it’s logistically impossible for them to fill each planet with unique and interesting content. That would be the only way to fix the game’s exploration and the exploration is the game’s biggest…
*shrug*
Hah, oh man, this is too good. You’re complaining about people being too abrasive? You, of all people? Really? I guess you have no self-awareness.
Okay? Indie isn’t a genre. There’s a huge variety of indie games across a wide range of budgets and genres. An indie game can be just as (or more) compelling as a AAA game.
Technically, the OG Fallout developer was Black Isle, not BGS. That said, NV had a worse critical and commercial reception than FO3 despite being a better game.
No clue, I haven’t bought any physical games in like 25 years. I did get a physical copy of RDR2 bundled with my PS4 and that had the actual game on the disc.
I thought season 2 was fine. Not as good as the first season but still way more compelling than Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Agents of Shield, Falcon & The Winter Soldier, etc.
Except nothing that happened in She-Hulk mattered. The ending was just “lul this was all a joke so I’ma just rewrite the story and give myself a happy ending.” Even before that, the overarching story was meandering at best.
I guess I just wanted a coherent and meaningful storyline and character development. The whole “this was all a farce and none of it actually mattered” ending did nothing for me. It’s possible to break the 4th wall and still have compelling characters and storylines (see Deadpool). She-Hulk just jumped the shark.
Novelty doesn’t mean much if the writing is bad. She-Hulk epitomizes that. Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, etc, had mediocre writing at best.
So, to be clear, you genuinely believe that GPUs will cost $5000 within the next 5 years? Do you also genuinely believe that players fall through the floor in every 3D game? Aside from being obviously false, that wouldn’t even be a PC-specific issue so I’m not sure why you listed it in your belligerent anti-PC rant.
The trailers for Echo made it look like we’d get something inspired by The Punisher and that’s... not what we got. The trailers basically showed the only dark and violent parts in the show. Everything else was surprisingly light-hearted. The mystical powers felt entirely out of place too.
Think you read the list wrong. Punisher is actually #18, which apparently makes it worse than the likes of She-Hulk, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage, Falcon & The Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, What If, M.O.D.O.K., Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Agent Carter and Hit-Monkey.
BGS’ lore doesn’t really make any sense, though, given that Ghouls thrive on radiation. The radiation is what’s allows them to stay alive for hundreds of years. The Glowing Ones are Ghouls that are extremely irradiated and in FO1 and 2, they are just as intelligent and coherent as regular Ghouls.
