Sorry if I sounded confrontational. It’s just that I find it incredibly hard to believe that GTA6 will be anything other than a massive critical and commercial success. To me, if a game is a massive hit, it obviously works. Whether or not the game will actually be good is another matter entirely, though one that is

Does GTA actually encourage you to do random crimes for fun, though? The entire wanted system seems to actively discourage that. You kill random civilians, your wanted level raises and more cops try to kill you. Some people see it as a fun challenge to try to max out their wanted level and survive but that’s not

I’m guessing you got screwed by the Humble Choice version. https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260803097009-March-2021-Humble-Choice-Control-Standard-Edition-#:~:text=We%20are%20excited%20to%20offer,grant%20the%20Control%20Standard%20Edition.

Acts 2 and 3 are where most of the interesting character development happens. Act 1 is basically just the (giant) tutorial.

I agree that Eternal took its story a bit too seriously. The charm of 2016 was that the Doomslayer clearly didn’t give a crap about about the overarching storyline. He just wanted to kill demons. Eternal removed that element and lost a lot of charm in the process.

Sort of. Jedi Survivor on the highest difficult is all sorts of bullshit. Tons of enemies that can kill you in 1-2 hits in the early game.

Not sure what you mean when saying Eternal was “too much.” Too much what? Mechanically, Eternal is way more interesting than 2016 due to a greater emphasis on weapon swapping and resource management. I never felt any of that was overwhelming, though. It just added a bit more strategy to the combat.

The goal of RNG is to force improvisation. Without it, you could develop a perfect strategy and just rely on it to win every fight because AI are ultimately predictable. Players will always take the path of least resistance (which is usually chain CC) and RNG helps shake things up to keep them on their toes.

What that really means is that you don’t enjoy the game’s mechanics. I’m not a fan of Souls’ slow movement and defensive combat. I like high mobility and aggressive combat. That’s why I liked Sekiro so much, even though it was much harder than any of the Souls games. Yeah, I died way more often but I was fine with the

Magic is basically easy mode in Souls games and Elden Ring is no exception. That’s why I much prefer Sekiro. It doesn’t give you much build choice but the benefit is that the designers can tune everything around one specific playstyle. It results in much more interesting and challenging encounters and level design.

I feel like you need to play way more of the game. There’s no shortage of somber and poignant moments with each of the companions.

Crime in Cyberpunk encompasses more than just killing random civilians. Almost every quest involves illegal activity. Assault, murder, theft, extortion, kidnapping, breaking and entering, etc.

Given that GTA5 still makes a ton of money and the GTA6 trailer has about 165 million views on Youtube, I’m pretty sure GTA6 will work just fine.

Rockstar’s open-world games have fantastic presentations and worldbuilding. I’m fairly sure that’s the reason why they have so much mainstream success. However, the core gameplay mechanics (movement, combat, stealth, etc) and mission design are mediocre at best.

What I really don’t understand is why Elden Ring is so beloved when it is, for all intents and purposes, just Dark Souls with a larger world, a mount and more summons. People who previously disliked or had no interest in From’s other games suddenly thought that Elden Ring was amazing, even though it was fundamentally

Would be great if devs/pubs would just release the source code to games that they’re shutting down.

Yes, what I’m saying is that I, as a consumer, don’t care about the hardware. I care about the games. Nintendo could become a software-only company and still make the same quality games because their biggest strength is their IP, not their hardware. Their hardware sells because of their games, not vice versa.

Sorry but that’s nonsense. Nintendo’s games would sell well regardless of the hardware they’re on. Nintendo’s core IP is very strong (Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, etc). The idea that these games could only be made and achieve success on Nintendo hardware is silly.

It varies. The sites listed under Official Stores are all authorized resellers so they get their keys directly from the developer/publisher. Stores listed under Keyshops are unauthorized resellers and they usually get their keys from bundles or from regions where games are a lot cheaper. Of those sites, there are

Quantum Break also suffers from animation prioritization. As in, they decided to prioritize smooth animation over tight and responsive controls. It just makes combat feel clunky and unsatisfying. Really, Control is basically what Quantum Break wanted to be. Skip QB and just play Control.
