Would be nice if the PC port launches at the same time, though I’m guessing it’ll come out a year later.

Action” is just way too broad a category. DMC5 and Metro Exodus are fundamentally different games that should be in separate categories.

A lot of the categories are pretty worthless. Nobody cares about eSports or content creators in this show. Also, what the hell does Most Anticipated Game even mean? The games aren’t out yet so you aren’t even judging them. You’re judging their brand and marketing. Also, get rid of the indie categories. Most of the

How about Dead Island 2? Ghostrunner 2? Venba? Party Animals? Lies of P? Sonic Superstars? Starfield? Company of Heroes 3? There’s this odd narrative that every nominee in every category needs to be a GOTY-caliber candidate. That obviously isn’t the case.

Ouch, Redfall is already 75% off. At this point, they should just make it F2P.

If you’re looking for more modernized version of HL, Black Mesa is great. It’ll probably go on sale for $5 or less during the holidays.

Again, if you’re not interested in having an actual debate (i.e. doing research and verifying claims), you’re just wasting my time. I enjoy debating but only if everyone involved is putting in the effort. You clearly are not. On the bright side, now that I know this, I won’t bother debating you in the future.

No need for lies, I just stated facts, as I’ve been doing this entire debate. You’ve already confessed to not actually doing any research or verifying any claims so you’re just talking out of your ass at this point. Put some effort into your arguments and maybe you won’t sound so ridiculous.

Agreed. Cyberpunk isn’t even ongoing. CDPR already announced that they’re done with the game and moving on to the sequel. Maybe “Best Post-Launch Support” would have been a more appropriate category.

I’d love to learn more about their nomination process. Supposedly, a bunch of industry people pick their top 5 games in any given category, then the TGA panel chooses the most popular picks as the nominees. However, who determines the categories and who determines which games go into which categories? Why is RE4

Think part of the problem was Frostbite, sure. However, the biggest issue to me was the continued emphasis on quantity over quality. I really don’t need big, barren planets with filler content. It sucked in Mass Effect 1 and it sucked in Andromeda. Dragon Age: Inquisition had the same issue. It often felt like a MMO

Think you missed the part where I explained how TGA is the exact opposite of the Oscars. TGA favors big mainstream games (like Hogwarts), not small niche games.

Honestly, this entire debate felt like I was talking to a child. Or a Trump supporter at a rally. Maybe even a child at a Trump rally.

You’re just describing RPG elements. Live service games tend to have loot and leveling but that doesn’t make those things unique to live service games.

It’s pretty common for MMOs to see significant player count declines post-launch. A lot of players try a MMO based on hype, word of mouth, etc, then find out they don’t like it and stop playing. Others play until they run out of content they care about (historically, most MMOs launch with lackluster endgame content)

We don’t have any insight into player counts outside of Steam afaik. We don’t know what percentage of players play the games via Steam vs external launchers. We can assume that most players play outside of Steam or vice versa but at the end of the day, it’s just conjecture. So the best we can do is look at the games

Putting in the disc is pretty inconvenient when you have a ton of games and play multiple games at the same time. It’s a big reason why I stopped buying physical. Disc swapping is a pain in the ass.

So what’s actually on the PC disc? Does it contain the entire game? The package comes with a Steam key so I assume that you still need to activate it on Steam to actually install and play the game. Or does the package include a Steam key and a DRM-free version of the game on disc?

Also creative director for Mass Effect: Andromeda. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Any deal that isn’t in a legally binding contract is a gamble.
