As the parent of small children, no one deserves that much slack. No way would my kid be rampaging around a BK annoying everyone else within earshot and then get a pie to reward their horrible behavior. It's called being a parent.

I have kids and I don't think this is entirely out of line. I yelled at some kids who weren't mine just the other day for throwing rocks at each other. You don't throw rocks at people, you little humans who no one has bothered to train. Get it to-fucking-gether, people, that little shit-monster is going to be an…
I was at Disney once with my two-year-old child, in July, whilst seven months pregnant. The kid was tired (not much for sleeping in her stroller, that one) and we hadn't been able to change her for a while, so her diaper was leaking through. We wanted to stay for the parade (night time parade - maybe 9 PM) so we…
It's actually pretty good. Yum!
No. I will not stop being so picky about where I sit. I'm paying to come to a restaurant - I refuse to be uncomfortable or to sit in a location next to the kitchen (which is loud) or the bathroom (just gross) and I'd always prefer a booth. So if there's a soft, comfy booth, far away from the kitchen and bathroom,…
What about water poured from those pitchers that have the little bar across them to stop the ice from coming out? And seriously, does she not realize that ice is actually water? I mean, does it change the flavor somehow to have ice in there? I guess I understand not wanting the ice clinking against your teeth, but…
I have a good friend who does this. She knows it's a terrible thing to do to the meat, but she just can't stand the texture of the meat (or eggs) unless really well done. So if she's ever invited for a steak dinner, she doesn't get a filet - she gets a cheaper cut of meat. And she's ok with that.
I used to know a guy who would order an espresso and then add six sugars. It was sludge.
Under the Pink is the first album I ever bought...
OK, nine is cool, seven is a bit too young. We live about 500 ft from our n'hood park and I wouldn't let my 7-year-old walk there alone...
My question is, do they still have the sparkly ones, too? I mean some girls just like that stuff and I don't think we should discourage them for liking what they like - and some girls might actually be into science and sparkles... They're not mutually exclusive.
If everyone were paid what they were worth, it wouldn't be an issue. After I'd worked for my first job out of college for six years, they hired someone else with less experience than me, from another state (relevant in my field as design practice and standards vary by state) and paid him about $20k more a year than I…
Right, there would definitely need to be a vetting process, but at the same time, they could add a disclaimer that says it hasn't been vetted and you should do that on your own (like if they wanted to get the info out there quickly and come back later with verification, for example).
Share the one kitchen item you can't live without - this list actually helped me add things to my Amazon Wish List, lol.
Start small and try running downhill for a while until you get the lung capacity to run on level ground - it's kind of amazing how that works. :-)
In that same vein, I recently came across a site that does a "quick tweet" - there's a link to a website with a plethora of tweets you can choose that will automatically tweet to whomever the offending party is (the one I saw today was a Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense that tweeted at the hosts of The View for their…
Love that women in history idea!
For example, recently there was a story on PETA and the Detroit Water Crisis - a couple of women set up a website through which people could donate money to have the people of Detroit's water turned back on. There should be links to things like that when stories about shitty things happening are presented.
I totally just said this somewhere else - great minds, am I right? Anyway, that was kind of a humblebrag, but I'm really just seconding this idea.
I love the cooking idea.
