Or a Catholic priest...

I’m not 100% sure that weight gain and gestational diabetes are linked. Doctors haven’t figured that out yet. I had it, though, and it sucked. I did not gain 80 lbs; I probably gained 40 lbs. It might have been 80 lbs if I had been able to keep eating cake and french fries, though.

The gym has childcare. His bike, unfortunately, does not. The kids are old enough to ride, but not old enough to ride quickly or up hills. YET.

I didn’t intend to imply that he’s doing that full workout every day. He has a dedicated leg day and for some time did squats every day to try to make quick gains in that area. Sorry for the confusion. Also, thanks for not being a jackass in your reply - I was trying to be funny in mine and I know on the internet that

Thanks. He had issues with calves so he stopped trying. It’s not that he CAN’T gain mass there, it’s just that it’s so time consuming and difficult that he basically gave up - because genetics gave him teeny tiny calves and who is he to fight it? Also, I think he eats really well, he’s cognizant of protein intake and

That’s what I’m talking about. Apparently others think you can just bust out a few calf raises until you puke and you’ll have monster calves. Plus, the point of the original post wasn’t really that he has small legs, just that he hears he has small legs every time he goes to the gym and it’s, “haha, so funny and

I will let him know that his daily squats, with other workouts throughout the week (which include deadlifts, leg presses, leg extensions, and hamstring curls among other stuff), aren’t adequate and he should really do legs twice a week. Except for that part where he does - and then a few extra days beyond that. Then I

Maybe not. Or maybe it’s genetics. Given that he’s over 40 and has been working his legs out for the past 20 years and achieved little to no change in their basic shape and size, so probably the genetics thing.

Not without grunting and groaning.

My husband and his chicken legs appreciate the advice (which he apparently hears at least once a week in the gym because that sentiment is super original and totally welcomed when it comes from a stranger who doesn’t realize that you just finished a set of squats in the other room), but sometimes genetics just sucks.

One thing this may not take into consideration is what happens AFTER you sell your house. Everyone knows about capital gains, which can be avoided by using it as your primary residence for any two of the last five years prior to the sale. What no one knows about is depreciation recapture. If you own a business asset

I think you may have anger issues, and your superiority complex is astounding. Kudos to you for educating me so thoroughly on my idiocy.

Also, for the record, I didn't think you needed to immediately stop and address anything. The really cool thing about the internet is that you can just keep scrolling. Are you

I noted I was speaking hypothetically. However, that aside, I appreciate your thoughtful comments on the issue.

*you're.

Thanks for being understanding and calm in the face of serious questions about violence in our society, perpetrated against women or otherwise. I'm so glad that people here are so respectful of one another to be able to have honest and thoughtful discussions about society as a whole and not just how women

Yes, I had forgotten about that. The hypothetical part was that he would have hit her first (the video of the Rices shows no such initial assault on Janay's part, despite both of their claims to the contrary).

I'm not sure how a post that clearly states it is hypothetical is irresponsible. I don't make any claims to the sequence of actual events - the sequence presented is prefaced with the acknowledgment that what I'm positing is not true to actual events.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments and explanation - I absolutely do appreciate them. You've provided a viewpoint that I hadn't considered and I am grateful.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and posit that she was trying to come up with an antidote. Obviously that's likely untrue given the stash of sweet drugs she had at her apartment, but what if?

He's working his triceps, she's working her pecs.

So I noticed about halfway through she moved her hands further away from her chest, which redistributes the load from the triceps to the pecs... The ROTC cadet kept his arms right up at his sides. I wonder if he might have been able to do more if he'd moved his hands out as well? Just pondering... Either way, that
