In MOST of the US, not in Texas. Texas created a new category of vehicle called “autocycle” just to cover this vehicle. While most motorcycle regulations apply, you don’t need a motorcycle endorsement to drive it. Prior to this law you couldn’t even register it in TX because it didn’t meet the definition of a

Yeah, it is an interesting situation. Up until just recently, you couldn’t even register them in Texas because they don’t meet car safety and they don’t meet the definition of a motorcycle because you sit IN a seat and have a steering wheel. So TX passed a law creating a new category of vehicle called Autocycles.

I was pointing out that they seemed to gloss over explosive as being dangerous

Meh, only if it is a cloudy night, or a really hard overcast during the day.

Gah. Her long hair next to the pully scares the crap out of me.

The actual qualifications of the individual are irrelevant. It is the perceived qualifications required for the job and the motivation of the company to hire people who are in demand that affects decision making. If the company can replace someone in the warehouse in 5 days and have them trained up in another 5 days,

None of the decision makers care what you, me, or anyone else on the internet thinks about the relative stealth capabilities of different aircraft. At this point it won’t even be analysis, the cognizant government officials will have actual

he thing about the JSF program that bothers me is that we’ve spent so much on developing it that had we just kept the F-22 line open, we could have built them in the same numbers that were originally conceived for the F-35.

Boeing took a stab at that, without the TV. Called it the Silent Eagle. They may have some export success, but the US isn’t buying as far as I can tell. And it’s really is more than just a body kit for both aircraft. The sensor suites are much improved.

I think only the Navy and Marines operate the Osprey. It was a design requirement to fit in the same foot print as a chinook for storage space on a carrier deck.

They may be sort of going after the V-Rod market. Harley isn’t really about HP, it’s about low end torque. Ok, nevermind, it’s really about the sound and the ability to spend thousands on aftermarket add-ons and riding gear (and non-riding gear). And finding friends through a shared desire to spend lots of money on

That was last year. That is one option, which isn’t the only option.

The article doesn’t say what the airframe is going to look like, in fact is specifically states that the author doesn’t know and LM isn’t saying yet. Speculation on how they do that is pointless in an open forum without LO SMEs.
