Have you driven a Tesla or just looked at the interior?
Have you driven a Tesla or just looked at the interior?
Not even remotely the same thing.
Musk has said before that they don’t start out at full torque because you would simply lose traction. Presumably they’ve spent a lot of time coming up with an algorithm that optimizes the rate at which it ramps.
I started watching old west wings as a coping mechanism too.
You’re on
That’s funny, I do love the smell of solder smoke. But no, meet you back here in say 10 years? The usual amount?
You have to experience it to believe it but after you do everything else is crap. The only thing you’ve ever experienced like it is an amusement park ride. It’s a soccer mom family hauling rocket sled.
People still don’t get Tesla. I love the pundits who are talking as if this revolution hasn’t already come and gone. Everything else is already dead, they just don’t know it yet.
lol ok pal. Well I’ll play along https://www.wired.com/2016/08/how-tesla-autopilot-works/. Or really any of a million articles you could have found with google. I’m sure you’re going to say this isn’t a real study or statistically significant, and you’re right. But you know what? It’s not nothing so settle down.
All evidence to the contrary.
Ok, well I disagree. I think the existing data suggests that autopilot is safer and I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume that trend will continue.
I’m pretty sure Musk is talking about autopilot and all the bad press. I seriously can’t tell if you guys are being obtuse or just argumentative.
So far the available data points to driverless cars being significantly safer than driven cars. I’m not sure if you’re choosing to ignore that or just don’t keep up but that’s what Musk is referring to.
Would you have written this same article defending vaxxers? I mean, don’t they have a right to question whether vaccines work?
You’re right, and I didn’t realize Mobileeye was using neural nets. However, I think if you read up on RBMs you’ll find there are some key differences between what you were taught in school and what they’re using now.
Sure, but I don’t think it’s fair to compare RBM deep learning to the nets we were building in the 70s. I had an advisor in the 90s who compared NN conventions to Hare Krishna conventions saying that the day will eventually come. I realize part of what has happened is the availability of a huge amount of computing…
I think the most significant part of the announcement is the move to neural nets.
Except your copilot can actually fly the plane...
It’s not a backhanded compliment, I think he’s just trying to support her. What’s with the hate?
