It is patently ridiculous that US Soccer, the non-profit organization thats primary purpose is to promote soccer in this country, does not pay the men’s and the women’s team equally. I don’t care which team earns more for US Soccer or less, the whole point is that the organization takes money from its money-making

Um, soccer refs have the latitude to let them play (“advantage”) as well so I’m not sure where this “other sports” comment comes in. Also, a player can be in an offside position but if they aren’t involved in the play then there is no offside call. Do you even watch soccer?

I mean, I won the first round, and the second, since in both I explained why I hold this particular opinion, whereas the best response you could offer to both, instead of an opposing explanation, was calling me dumb. So your willingness to cede the third round instead of failing again is admirable in it’s own way.

No, it’s easy to stay onsides. It’s hard to stay onsides while being in the best possible position to accept a pass and score. That’s the risk you take in that situation. The upside is a goal. The downside is ending up offsides.

Tom, this take is really fucking bad.

That game winning half court shot was sweet as hell! Who cares if the tip of the finger was still on the ball when the clock ran out?

It was offside, what’s your point? Beautiful goals are above the rules?

Counterpoint: make sure you are fucking on-sides?

Jesus Christ can Deadspin please find someone else to talk about MLS? Someone who acknowledges the domestic league doesn’t have a 100 year headstart? Someone who has the self-awareness to recognize whining about rich people starting teams in MLS while pumping up the euro leagues is a trash take? Sorry the MLS isn’t

Watching stuff like this makes me feel like it’s time to let football wind down. I was a fairly serious fan for decades but it’s hard to enjoy hits now that we know the consequences. When a ton of these players’ lives are fucked just for the repetitive low-level hits, seeing a big injury hit is a sad reminder that

Right...because playing 90 in the DC heat and humidity and making a 50 yard run to make the key play is exactly the same as someone running a dozen steps after the 18th TV timeout.

Suppose we all agreed with you. How would you propose doing that? You can’t ban math. It’s not like Bitcoin enjoys a great deal of government support anyway. You could ban using cryptocurrency (and wait for all the appeals to wind their way through the courts) and shut down some of the businesses in one country, say,

One of the best articles I’ve ever read on here.

They should let the bandwagon get hurt. If these people are dumping money into altcoins without doing diligent research, they deserve it.

Meanwhile, I’ll hold my Ether while everyone fights over these bitcoin clones.

And while you wait, a bunch of us have made a shit ton of money.

Spend 5 minutes and look into it. You’re opinion of Bitcoin is based on your extremely limited understanding of what Bitcoin is.

I’m an avid “cryptocurrency whacko”. I’m neither an anarchist or a libertarian. I don’t use the currency because I worry about being tracked, and I also happen to fall into the camp of people that welcome financial regulations (as long as things stay decentralized). BUT - and this is a huge but - no amount of

It is online wallets. People can keep their Cryptos on a flash drive in their home and it would be perfectly safe. It’s people storing this stuff on online server wallets that can get hacked. It’s like if I sent a million dollars to someone to hold on a server open to the public. That is why that shit gets hacked.

Planes have to land there too. You do not want a concrete barrier in the way if one comes in a little low.

Psst.. Julian, it’s Fred.. I’ll run my mouth for hours and commentate in a Voddenian way if needed.
