eh, I’m okay with that. She did shoot him, after all.

Knew this idiocy would come up. Progress is progress.

So she didn’t just shoot him despite the fact that his hands were up. She shot him BECAUSE he put up his hands?

Yes. How “strange” that a black man, when confronted by a cop, would put his hands in the air. It couldn’t possibly be that he wanted to preemptively signal that he was unarmed, given that so many other black person-cop interactions turn deadly without provocation.

She’s talked about this somewhere. She was going through a time where she was toeing the edge, and the pain of getting tattooed helped distract from the emotional pain she was experiencing until she could finally get a little breathing room.

She talks about it in this article. During a heavy period of depression before she started transitioning, she started doing the black tattoos as kind of a way to leave her past behind.

She had a “boys from county hell” tattoo on her wrist, and I assume some work from her touring days before her transition. The blacking out is to eliminate old choices or old representations of the life she led before, which I assume would be a misrepresentation of her true self.

I’m curious to know what Laura Jane Grace thinks. It sounds like the two of them didn’t have the most amiable divorce so this kinda reads like Heather is trying to make herself look better by being Laura Jane’s defender-especially since there is some question as to whether or not she was cheating with the guy she was

Wait, but what does Laura Jane Grace think? Isn’t her opinion the more important one?

even amidst my staggering flummoxation, i have to admit, that color is gorgeous.

Oh so that’s what happened when they left the attic.

#NeverForget their amazingly hideous matching hairdos that made them look like twins from Village of the Damned.

Makes sense, she can’t stay with someone for too long. Otherwise they start asking questions about how she never ages and needs permission to enter people’s homes.

Thank you for explaining the television

That’s true, but that’s why punching upward works and punching down doesn’t.

the pretty french lady made a joke that not only landed, it bored right through the center of the freakin’ earth.

Gotta give some points to Passive-Aggressive Master Winnie, who didn’t address Ashly at all... just tweeted it to the world and made sure it went INTERNATIONALLY VIRAL.

Ahh, I loved Asylum! Aliens, zombies and a psychopathic scientist were like footnotes to the drama, and I thought it was great.

The only salvageable part was Jessica Lange’s performance of Life on Mars.

One thing that struck me about the premiere was the complete lack of humor. The past few seasons have been soooo campy, but this one (so far) seems to be just giving us a straightforward scary story. Even the sex scene was tasteful, especially by AHS standards. I still hold out hope for Lady Gaga in a Pilgrim outfit.
