There are a lot of movie people think are good but if “you” don’t see them at the right time they do not hold up. I was the perfect age for the American Pie movies, I was the horny high school / college student too. But to the teens/20 somethings today its just a stupid old sex comedy. Kind of like how guys in their

No, it’s not just you. Tangential to this post is the recent Jalopnik feature wherein the author has the commentariat re/watch old car movies and shit all over them because apparently hating on anything some people like is the modus operandi of the internet now.

Fair enough. I think that shitting on Duffy will always be worthwhile (another guilty pleasure), but I get your point about the genre at large.

Okay but haven’t you ever rewatched a movie and thought “holy crap, what was my taste?” Love Actually is the big one for me, but Requiem for a Dream is another big one I can’t stand.

Counterpoint: The Boondock Saints was never a good movie.

Hopefully it’s a one-time column. The world has enough negativity without spending more time smashing dumb movies.

Raymond Carver did your shtick better. Just saying.

I smell a troll. Or maybe just an asshole. Let me tell you, as an American this is not a thing I regularly hear from men either. At least, not any man I would let near my vagina under any circumstances.

But if a woman lies about she can get pregnant and have to abort or live with it. A dude can just walk away and be like “uhh. guess it didn’t work” or simply ghost you.

There is, but I’m not at liberty to say until it launches. However, we are atypically launching it in other markets prior to our region (product is generally launched here first) so I’ll double check the US date. I think it might be July but don’t quote me on that.

Unless Demi Lovato got a neck tattoo...I don’t think that’s her in the top image?

I also loathe putting sunscreen on my face. I can’t stand cream on my face full stop (I’m all about the serums and gels, I don’t wear any sort of foundation or pressed powder whatsoever and I like looking shiny). I work in R&D/Product and Innovation for a skin care company and I have the privilege of participating in

I use the Missha Sun Milk etc etc mentioned in the article, and I like it! It is very light and it does say that it’s a moisturizing sunscreen. I usually mix in a drop or two of The Ordinary’s 100% Plant-Derived Squalane before I apply it too. I have combo-oily skin though so I can’t say for certain that it wouldn’t

Sunscreen also makes my face angry, but I’ve had good luck with Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist. It’s not really a heavy duty sunscreen but I use it if I’m going to be out for 1-2 hours and it works well. Downside: the sprayer is crap - I’ve had to take it apart and soak it in water to unclog it like 3x.

Whoa that is crazy! What type(s) of sunscreen have you been using? Something containing a physical block (zinc, titanium dioxide, etc) or a chemical block (avobenzone, oxybenzone, etc)? It’s possible that you have a sensitivity to one or the other, or one of the many components that make up chemical sunscreen

I thinking of copying your entire routine cause your skin is so dewy. Where did you get most this stuff? Wish sponsors would create Jezebel boxes to subscribe to exactly what you have and maybe a little discount for the set? Thanks.

These freaking posts cost me so much money AND I LOVE THEM ALL. I’ve been worried about how to keep my face happy when I go on a long trip this summer, and I think the cleansing stick is going to be the answer!

I agree these organizations are all corrupt but when organizations of/for women are run for men there is the added layer of sexual misconduct that is downright commonplace.

... it’s not.

I totally agree with you. It is sad. It’s not sad that people take antidepressants or anxiety medication, it’s sad that people, especially so many people *need* to take it. I’m happy people get some kind of relief but there’s something wrong in a society where so many people are debilitatingly sad and anxious and
