What experience or knowledge does being a Youtuber give you that qualifies you to “help” people make games?

Everybody is down here dissing on Dunkey, but for my money, if there’s a YouTuber out there who can pull this off, it’s him. I see criticism regarding how this announcement comes off as self-important or conceited, but that’s just a part of his schtick. In reality he’s quite level headed and obviously cares very much…

...that reads as inflated ego? He thinks he can help, he’s trying to help. Helping. If it crashes and burns at least he’d have done more than any of us have ever done.

You’re being overly literal in a very internet-person way. He’s using murder because it’s simple, not because it’s a direct moral comparison.

It sucks, but Blizzard has to compete with Genshin Impact levels of marginal revenue, so they’re not going to go soft on the mobile market.

Exactly.  You can claim that YOU aren't a gambling addict all you want, but at the end of the day, the reason that casinos don't have either sunlight or clearly marked paths to the exits is to keep people from leaving against their better judgement

Everything I’ve read/heard about the game says that the actual gameplay is really enjoyable, and if you don’t care about PVP it’s fine to play without a penny.

The Blizzard of old is dead and gone, the modern Blizzard is just a gross offshoot of Activision and we would all probably be better off ignoring it. 

I don’t want either my computer or my phone to turn into a coin-op arcade machine where I have to insert a buck first before I can play anything.

Have you concidered the fact that the same people complaining about something might not be the same ppl playing it? Gamers aren't a monolith 

Democrats suck at voting. Americans in general used to suck but Republicans caught on that their agenda can be stacked if, you know, they actually vote.

Because if developers think this is the right move to make, then we get more games like this and less actually good games. Not too complex, right?

And every article about this game you publish, positive or negative, helps remind people know the game exists. Obviously, these articles aren’t hurting the game, so at this point, you’re just writing these articles for the clicks and not because you actually care about the game or its harm.

Taking away gay rights is next. It’s what are Christian overlords want.
