I was just thinking of how I would react to a proposal. I'm straight/cis female, but I don't give a crap about marriage, I'm at least a little opposed to it just based on principle, but also I'm really lazy and don't like paperwork.

Just assume everyone is lying all the time. The only possible way someone is telling the truth is if they are talking about something that is not important. If they are trying to convince of something or get you to do something though, they are probably lying. Everyone. All the time. True story!

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. I think the two acts are clearly related. I think this is a sad story. She turned out to be an awful person that killed someone, but I think the story leading up to that is really sad. The way her dad talks about her is sad too.

I don't think I am misunderstanding, I get what you mean, but I really think they are just trying to justify being assholes about Lena Dunham. They are being assholes here, they don't have to be. The defense they have provided is bs. I'm not oversimplifying, it is very simple to begin with.

I think the meaning of a word is less important than the actions of a person. Do not commit actions that render you to be a dick.

I follow her on twitter, and I generally like her. Obviously, she has her flaws-but so do we all.
