The problem with New Vegas was that Bethesda rushed Obsidian to push it out on a stupid short timetable and otherwise interfered in the game development. They didn’t have the time to develop their own assets and had to reuse a lot of the art from Fallout 3 or to do proper bug testing.

If you look at it from a pure game mechanics perspective I suppose you might have a point but FFXIV is so much more than that, parts of it are straight out love letters to previous entries. I haven’t played the game in an expansion or two but I respect it as possibly the best MMO on the market currently.

I’m a fan of the survival genre and Fallout and I don’t see the appeal of Fallout 76 and I fuckin’ own it.

Bethesda can salvage this but they need to take a page out of another company’s playbook. Someone who launched an MMO version of a longstanding series even more popular than Fallout and revered by a rabbid fan base. Assuming Half Life 3 is a 10/10 the profits would be but a drop in the bucket compared to what they would loose from Steam.

And there are more than 3 Half life games but still no Half life 3 or Half Life 2 episode 3.

You seem to have a lot of faith that same staff actually cleans the robot.
