You are not buying hardware, you are buying features. Autopilot has all the hardware to work, but you have to pay to unlock it. As long as you get the features you paid for it does not matter what hardware the car contains.

I think the tipping point will be when Fuel Deserts get big enough. It’s already happening. Between high real-estate prices, low profit margins, environmental regulations, and decreasing demand gas stations are disappearing.

I haven’t bought gas in over 6 years by going fully electric 3 cars ago and running off my solar panels. ~18K in gas savings alone so far, I guess.

Sorry, I got so used to calling my key fob a key. The sentence should have said,”Key-fobless driving.” It’s so nice not having a car-specific piece of hardware in my pocket and not having to press/twist a control in the car to get going.
