I had an old timer tell be about this prank one of the security guards would play on the janitorial staff. he would hid a radio in the intake of one of the A-7s on the line and hide on the mezzanine, where he would wait for one of the Janitors to walk by and then start talking to him

I’ve seen pictures of some guys in a different shade of green or tan overalls on the flightdeck. but they usually only show up after all of the hard work is done.

I don’t think so the KA-BAR name was adopted in the 1920s so I think that the early 1900's meant 1901-1905. Plus the company only started making knives in 1898.

I recall reading a book about Helo pilots in Vietnam, and the story about WO pilots went that the Army required that you had to be an officer to be a pilot and they feared what thousands of newly minted 2nd Lt Pilots would to the natural order of the army so they made them Warrant Officers instead.

I had a friend that was a german reenactor on the East Coast. He told me a story about going to a reenactment within a month or so of 9/11.

I remember when I was a kid back in the Southwest Conference days, being able to ride my bike into Amon G Carter Stadium and ride up to the upper levels and watch the summer practices.

The guns-a-go-go project was a complete failure. Only 1 of the 4 aircraft survived Vietnam. One of them even mananged to shot itself down!

I have thought about the walthers pistols, but I have just never been a fan of striker fired pistols. I have 1 firearm with a Striker and that is a VZ58 rifle.

That is with modern defensive rounds. Remember that the military is still largely restricted to Ball ammo. The NATO Standard round is a 124 grain FMJ bullet.

I think it was in “No Easy Day” were the SEAL author talked about 45acp and 9mm in terms of Offensive and Defensive Handguns. That they Preferred the 45 ACP in scenarios where the pistol may be the primary firearm and the higher capacity of the 9mm in scenarios where they may be tasked with VIP protection.

I had a friend complaining about how snappy his M&P9C was. I gave him my 357 Snub, 1 Shot and he stopped complaining about his M&P.
