My grandfather worked on the program for Convair. And because of the weight of the lead shielding, most of the shielding was up front to protect the crew. They had very explicit instructions not to walk behind the aircraft, if they ever wanted to have children or just live in general.

I was thinking more in terms of the marketability of fields of studies like this. How many companies are looking for people that majored in "Poor Chic" and etc vs people that are in the STEM majors or Business?
This is what is wrong with this country's education system. Not the "Poor Chic" People, but that someone thought that it would be a good field to study and that someone else decided to pay a person to specialize in "Poor Chic" studies.
