No, they  hacked the DNC with the intent to interfere with an election. Similar, but different and worse. The emails weren’t simply given to them for them to make public.

Pretty sure that if the American public had seen RNC emails, most or all of those 80,000 swing votes in three states would have gone the other way. But we won’t see those...yet.
