Good luck with that. We have now seen how Republicans will do anything, no matter what to win. When one side plays by the rules, and the other doesn’t, we end up like this. This isn’t sports, this is life. The Republicans have now shown democracy doesn’t matter, how long will the system still work? My guess is not

b. We all refer to groups who are not us as “they”.

This is very pathetic of me, but Monday is my son’s birthday. I’m so worried about either outcomes. I’m doing my best to try and just enjoy some peanut pie and presents with him..but goddamn.

They are already being abandoned. We have proof of foreign interference, and the president elect is fine with it. We have seen Republicans suppress voters rights. The list is only going to get longer and more entangled, until democracy is barely a ghost.

You do understand that there is a difference between people commenting online celebrating such a thing and the president-elect of the United States celebrating such a thing (during public rallies celebrating himself), do you not?

They just passed a law outlawing abortion after 20 weeks even in the case of rape.

a. Trump addresses his audience as “(we) Americans”.

Many liberals/progressives were expecting violent reactions from Trump supporters if Hillary won the election. They know what to expect from Trump supporters.

They’ve been getting ballsy about the “fake news” thing lately. Someone called on to the show I listen to yesterday to say that he thought the reports of Russian hacking were “fake news,” because he didn’t like those stories.

If Trump becomes President, we’re also going to see a lot of violence.

Bring it. And the only reason I say this is because I am so sick of their shit. Let that be the last gasp of the predominantly racist portion of America. Let the government stamp them out once and for all. Like dousing an ant hill with poison.

Are you fucking kidding me? Because in America, one of our strongest values is that each and every citizen has an equal voice in our governance. The goddamned President-Elect of the country should not celebrate the fact that ANY of his constituency — for whatever reason — did not use that voice.

Honest question, but do you really think something on the scale of the Civil War would occur again if the Electoral College overturned Trump’s win and elected Hillary? I don’t disagree that we’d see violence on a small-scale, but we’ve been seeing violence on such a scale against minorities since Trump was elected.

Well, that’s part of the issue.

Also: referring to a portion of your new constituents as “they” when speaking to crowds is an extremely troubling precedent for a President to set.

1) Then you should ready yourself for The Troubles that await if Trump is in office. Making yourself small won’t save you from them.

I would rather put these armchair warriors in their place, while we still have a military, than allow this to set a precedent for Russia or any other country. If Russia is allowed to do this with no repercussions, than literally anything goes. Imagine if Putin did a little pillow talk and whispered in Drumphf’s ear,

These are the same people who voted for Trump because they wanted to tear the whole system down. So lets tear it down by dumping trump and putting in someone competent rather than tearing it down by literally tearing it down.

There is already fallout from his win unlike anything in modern history. Waves of racist graffitti and hate crimes. They are already out there doing violence. It won’t stop ever with them.

Last night I saw pro-Trump commenters on Twitter asking how it was “racist” for Trump to applaud black people not voting. Several of those commenters cited articles from sites like Slate that tackled the topic of why the black turnout was so low, because they cannot see a difference between asking WHY the black voter
