Don't look to be a factory *mustang* steel wheel though, can't find any mustang 4-lug rims that clearly look like that.

Can anyone ID those wheels? They might look cool(in another color) on my '64 Falcon wagon. I'm guessing the mecedes center badge is a red herring.

I never really had problems wit hdamage to the bumpers on my '78 Nova. Then again that car would have shrugged off pretty much anything short of a sledgehammer.

Ford did a decent job of integrating the bumpers on the early taurus/sables. The bumper was mounted on pistons & the ends were on rollers. Smack it into something and it would compress, then pop back out.

"Satan, His Psychotherapy and Cure by the Unfortunate Dr. Kassler, J.S.P.S." is my all time favorite SF(ish) book title. To me the book was kinda mediocre but the title is awesome. I keep it on my bookshelf just to confuse people.

Fake ad, a google images search for "unicorn van" pulls up that same image three times on the first page.

I love that falcon, for exactly the reasons you stated. It is such a bizzarre looking car I want to import one and drive it to cruise nights jsut to confue the ever loving hell out of everyone.

By, you know, continuing to drive on the gas engine. Without having to push a button or flip a switch or anything.

Juding by the color, year & 'winter package' this is one of the Greenland polos. A couple polos were used on Thule airforce base in Greenland, when they were decommisioned they were stripped of some parts and sold as military surplus in Virginia(of all places). Because of how they were brought into the US they are

Airbags came with the 1990 Taurus update. That is the correct wheel for the '86-'89 interior.

I got one of these and drove around with it on the car for about 2-3 months until it was just a messy square with bits of tattered paper clinging to it. Came of pretty easily then...

Nic: Told you. :)

Passionate love for a car regardless of whether anyone else would think it was "cool" or not?

Unless the prior owner of your car had drugs in there, or something you bought used was once in contact with drugs, or if a bag a friend put in your trunk had once had drugs in/on/near it. Or if the dog gives a false positive lead. Or if a cop swears they smelled drugs, or...

Why PRNDL? because do you really want to try and figure this shift pattern from a '58 Mercury out?

Sweet! I actually saw this car mid-transformation. I was taking a class at the Steelyard about a year and a half ago and this guy was using another part of the main yard as his workshop to build it. You can actually she the garage he was working out of in some of the shots.

Back when I delivered parts for NAPA this was par for the course in snow. We had a fleet of clapped-out S-10s and Hartford CT is notorious fro crappy plowing. So when trying to make forward progress the rear end would slide out and at about 15-30 degrees you could hold the slide and actually make forward progress. It
