You can get a nice condition original or a restored Delorean for $20K-$30K.

@The Stig's Fat American Cousin: being immersed in clear water (think pool) for a short peroid and being quickly dried out would have little effect.

@slimwhitman: At least the Convertible has *actual* rarity going for it. It isn't much, but it is something.

@NovaloadMissesPolar: Story was it was bought in Oregon with ~9K on it from the estate of an elderly person who basically didn't drive it. Then it was shipped to Worcester MA where it got a complete tuneup, brake check, tires, etc. Then the new owner drove it for a few months before deciding it was too small and

@smalleyxb122: Actually the body shop is next door to the car lot, they are two separate businesses. All the businesses on that strip are body shops or car lots.

I swear I've seen that car online somewhere else before, with pics & some added info. but now I can't find it again!

@layabout: But a 4WD rear-engined, flat-four powered minivan is pretty classic jalopnik.

I just want to note that a bunch of 24-hours of LeMons posts for an event local to me, plus a craigslist ad for a $500 '78 Chrysler Cordoba is making for some really bad ideas.

It was so bad I had the high beams on so I could catch the flash of the roadside reflectors and aim between them, no other combination of lights/fog/etc. showed me anything but white. I kept going only because I

I just love the last bit where the operator crushes the sombrero with the bucket.

Figures I'd get rid of this car before the movie came out and made it cool.

Back in the 80s Mercedes had a tachometer standard on all trim levels of their sedans *except* the lowest.

I have one of these, its really nice and works pretty well. Thanks to it I'm getting 5-8 mpg higher than EPA out of my xB.

Oh man... I nearly bought a rolling 50s Bentley Shell a few years back for $500. I was going to drop a Cadillac 500 in it, throw some seats in it, slam it to the ground and drive it with the rusted & trashed black paint.

Oh and a friend bought a house in one of the poorer neighborhoods in hartford, and has been living there and trying to restore the building for 4-5 years now.

I lived in Hartford until last year, this video depresses me, but doesn't surprise me at all.
