Considering my g/f's '99 Saturn gets ~42mpg, has four doors, room for five, and a real trunk and takes regular gas the Smart doesn't impress me.

So if the decorations on the body are to be believed, it was a Chevy powered, turbocharged, airbrushed Z. And it was awesome.

Oh, I nearly forgot. A friend bought a '72 Sedan DeVille with a horrifying ugly olive drab vinyl & brocade interior. We were wandering through a junkyard while she was talking about wanting to get the interior redone in red leather in a few years when she had the cash.

I don't know about other states but in CT any car over 25 years old can be registered with "antique plates". These cost no more than regular plates, but it means your car will only be taxed at a max value of $500.

@jstn: If you bothered to read the comments before commenting yurself you'd know that a)several people have claimed that before, b)it isn't a photoshop but a sculpture, c)someone posted a picture from another angle to prove it is real and d)you now look like an idiot.
